Visited here after a long walk along the promenade the view was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The food was flavoursome and was a great little find.

We decided to go in search of paella, leading us to La Oliva. The service was initially good, sitting us down promptly and getting us drinks. The paella took a while to come out, which is generally to be expected for a good dish, however when it came it was average at best. Unlike other paella we have tasted in... More

Was planning for a good time alone at the restaurant. The woman serving me was not even smiling to me. I ordered and she made me feel like I was bothering her. When I paid, she said "ja" and took the money. Didnt even say goodbye. I'm never going back.

Me and my boyfriend ordered a smoked-cheese dish and a fried fish. The lady that was serving told us that they were out of both dishes. Well, too bad, but of course that can happen. Instead we took the anchovies and a semi hard cheese. My boyfriend liked his dish, but I noticed that some pieces of cheese were white,... More

We sometimes have to stay a night in Playa de las Canteras before moving on to our holiday accommodation. We found La Oliva some years back and make a special effort to visit at least once if not twice. I really don't get the negative reviews . We love this place. The staff are always lovely - they are always... More

Three of us ate here on a Sunday evening. Food was average & the staff just did not seem interested in serving, so we left.

Ok, so "The Couple" does do a kind of English breakfast, but this was a bit more like it with beans and grilled Canarian tomato (lovely) My partner asked for her eggs well done and this was done perfectly despite the restaurant being very busy. Came with delicious coffee and orange juice was an extra couple of euros but even... More

The food is so good and tasty. The alió is the best anywhere. The fish, deep fried eggplant, potatoes and thinly sliced veal were all amazingly delicious. We go to this restaurant every time we are in Las Palmas. Also the view along the promenade is breath taking.

My husband and I decided to visit for our second time after an enjoyable meal once before. We arrived to the hostess stand, no one was there, so my husband approached one of the staff about getting a table. The place was not busy. It was 4 or so in the afternoon, in between meal rushes. We were seated by... More
