With the bad weather changing our plans last minute, we struggled to find a table in Ciutadella for a late lunch, so felt lucky to find one here after only a brief wait. Being our last meal of this trip to Menorca, we'd decided we...should have 'langosta', for which the island is renowned. Market prices are listed in (144)€/kg, which is meaningless to non-habitual lobster eaters like us. We ordered a foie starter, plus a four-cheese selection and 'pan cristal' with tomato, all delicious. The wine list has many options below €30 and is good value. The main event was grilled langosta and salad. Presentation was rudimentary and I've had better salads with a pub burger. A poor excuse for a salad. Desserts were passable, nothing special, but everything was nice enough. Not so nice, or, at least to us, a big surprise, was the bill at the end, with the langosta for two coming in at a breathtaking €124! Lobster aficionados may observe that this was nothing out of the ordinary, but we now know that next time the lobster can keep swimming and we'll have the finest wagyu steak or ribs that the land provides. If I was rating s'Amarador on everything but the langosta, I'd say it was good food, nice surroundings and efficient, friendly service. But with the crustacean included, I expect ( and normally receive) a LOT more for a €100 a head lunch.More

We were recommended this restaurant and were not disappointed. Great location on the harbour wall by the bridge and very popular but you really should book, we didn’t and were quoted 20 mins for a table for two but we were seated in five minutes....Larger unbooked groups of four were waiting close to an hour. Once seated staff were lovely, portions are large and fish comes from their own boats, so the choice is what landed today. I had scorpion fish, very meaty and beautifully cooked, we also had the lamb which was also excellently cooked. Despite how busy it was, once seated service was good and not rushed at all.More

Although it was busy we were lucky enough to walk in early (13.30pm) and get a table but, I understand this is not the case for most people who visit the restaurant. We had been calling to make a reservation for 2 days and couldn't...get through, the answer machine was constantly on and it wasn't possible to reserve online. Besides this, we had the most amazing caldereta and beautiful starters (cheese dumplings and mussels), all topped off by a traditional ensaimada dessert. The staff was attentive and considering the business, service was prompt. Definitely a must try!More

There are constantly lines to get a table, no matter the time of day. The service is fantastic. The waiters really take care of the customers. The vegetarian paella is absolutely delicious! Great location too.

Amazing restaurant located in the Port of Ciutadella with a pleasant terrace. The food is amazing especially highlighting the Black rice with cuttlefish and red prawns, which is strongly recommended. Fresh fish, seafood and meat dishes are part of the menu as well. Plenty options...of good wines to drink. The service is fast and kind. The restaurant is very popular and it’s always full. Definitely a must go in Menorca!More

Really good. We highly recommend eat before the locals, better european time rather than the spaniard. If not, you'll have to wait. Food is really good and at a reasonable price. Everything is fresh. Don't miss the deserts, any one!!!!

Very nice restaurant in the harbour of Ciutadella. Beautifully decorated, great staff and excellent food. We had baby squids, then paella and then chocolate coulant for dessert. One of the best paellas we have had. Highly recommended for food when in Ciutadella.

Great atmosphere, lovely and professional staff and excellent food. We tried to make a reservation but it was fully booked and they do not take reservations for the terrace. We headed to Ciudadela trying to get a table at one of the most repited restaurants....Although it was full and we were a group of 9, the staff did their best to accommodate us. Since there was a high chance of rain they did all at their very hands for us to enjoy the meal and prepared a second area for us to eat the main course inside. We ate fish (“rape”, “merluza”, “gallo” and paella) all dishes were delicious and all 9 people in the group had a great culinary experience. The staff are professional and know their product very well and are ready to make sound recommendations. A must if you visit Menorca.More

Last time we were there it was a menu and special board outside, very good fish on the menu and catch of day, and very good tapas.
