Just another market you can see in any Mediterranean city. So full of fresh fruits and vegetables and fishes, of course. Plus some small cafés, basically for locals from the neibourghood, drinking coffees and stromger drinks, reading, talking, living...I liked very much fresh oranges and mandarins, from the island.

We stayed in Palma for 11 days in an apartment. We ate out most of the time but we were recommended this market by our apartment owner and went on several occasions for fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, we found everything very fresh and good quality. We had drinks and tapas at a couple of the stalls, found the... More

For a start off the market is amazing - with a huge array of fresh and beautiful produce, then there are the little eating stalls - some with small sitting areas, which are all popular and look so tempting (Tapas, pastries, sushi, wine etc) - so do plan in at least one lunch. We tried the sushi stall that had... More

Brilliant and vibrant market - lovely to see all the meat, fish and veg. Plenty to sample and loads of nice places cooking the food.

Lovely market, especially crowded in the morning. Beautiful tasty tapas, olives, fresh cut ham and much more. Also the oyster bar is great!! Feast for eyes and mouth.

Unfortunately close on Sunday, no fresh seafood on Monday. Normally open from 9am. Price is a bit expensive in comparison to supermarkets like Carrefour (they also have fresh seafood and much cheaper!). So make sure you always check & ask for price before buying anything from there.

This market is a must for every visitor to Mallorca.Visit the market and enjoy some oysters with a glass of wine at the oyster bar. Sumptious and if this is not enough sample the delicious tapas on offer and visit the countless stalls selling fruits. cheeses, meats etc. Popular with locals and tourists alike you will not be disappointed.

Visit the market and carve out some time to have a glass of wine and 24 oysters at the oyster bar. What a treat. If oysters are not your thing the maybe sushi and sashimi is! Go for it.

This market is a must for every visitor to Mallorca. You can find the freshest products on offer but avoid going on a weekend as it is very busy especially the Seafood department. You can find everything you need to cook your own meals, or enjoy the different food on offer at the stalls.

Thank Antje r
