Went with the family. Apparently a couple owns the place, and the man was waitressing today. The salad Khmer was good and refreshingly different in taste. Our tapas were good, especially the albondigas with rice and that special sauce - yummy!

If you have two people owning a restaurant aparently one would be in the kitchen and one would be on the floor. The one on the floor if male would be called a waiter aparently, if he is aparently male. Thankyou for stopping at Las Olas Bistro and i am glad you enjoyed yourself. More

Wonderful, eclectic restaurant with lovely quirky owner. Some sefardic choices. Very tasty and personalized. Open kitchen and dynamic wife/chef. Duck and tuna nicely served. Surrounding streets/alleys typical of old town.

We visited Palma at the end of Oct 2016 and were really surprised. The city is vibrant and has a really strong identity which is a little surprising given the volume of tourists who visit each year. While we were wandering in the old town we found Las Olas Bistro, stopped for a quiet drink and ended up staying for... More

We found this gorgeous bistro by accident, what a brilliant find for a delightful lunch. The daily fixed menu is superb value and absolutely delicious, we had fill pastry cheese and spinach parcels with perfect rice and unusual salad. It was lovely, with a hint of spice in the cheese. The house wine was great too. I then had the... More

My husband and I also stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant after wandering the Call, trying to retrace the history of the long gone Jewish community of Palma. Kudos to John and Evelyn for researching and including Sefardic dishes to feature on their lunch menu - we ordered everything on the menu del dia and shared. Every dish was... More

Las Olas was quiet and comfortable, away from the squares and touristy areas. Excellent daily menu (curried sole with lentils was fabulous) and vino del casa (both red and white). Proprietor was extremely helpful, and spoke perfect English. Do go here when in Palma.

We were welcomed by the owner, whose dry sense of humour was to our taste. No need to ask for a wine recommendation, they're all good and specially chosen. The food was superb - Mallorquín cheese with honey, almonds and fresh fruit, a delicious beetroot gazpacho, roast duck with passion fruit sauce, lamb meatballs with figs, all lovingly prepared with... This is our 3rd year of eating at this restaurant on our annual Palma stay. The restaurant has charm, very relaxed atmosphere, good service and exceptional food and that's why we return. John the owner recognised us (I hope for the right reasons) and was very welcoming. The food is presented absolutely beautifully, fresh ingredients and colourful. Really nice evening.... More

The restaurant is serving a very fresh food (veg and non veg). The chef seems to come from Vietnam. They serve typic Spanish dish (bacalao), fresh salad and vietmanian dishes. The waiter are very kind.
