What a beautiful restaurant. set in a side street in the heart of Palma you will find this picturesque restaurant with stone walls and wooden beams.
The food is a mixture of Spanish dishes with meat chicken and fish all to be found. We went as two family’s four adults and three children, we weren’t made to feel particularly welcome and the service was a bit hit and miss. I got the impression because we had children we weren’t supposed to be there but because we booked in advance they had to let us eat. The food was very good and it’s reasonably priced but I wouldn’t go again with kids.

We ate at La Paloma whilst on a mini break to Palma and when dining out had not pre booked any restaurants so had a wander round town to try different eateries. On the Monday night we came across La Paloma and the menu choices caught our eye and we we lucky enough to be able to secure a table.
Whilst there was a good choice on the menu we opted for the set menu from the Tapas board and weren’t disappointed as the bread, prawns, ham were lovely and the croquettes were delicious - portions were just right given the next course was entrecôte steak, chips and salad and again the portion size for 2 people just right as we weren’t over faced and the steak was cooked just right for us.
The set meal was wrapped up with a desert which was tasty - all this for 25 euros per person and friendly and efficient service throughout made this a really enjoyable meal coupled with a good choice of drinks all of which were reasonably priced.

Visited this restaurant on a Monday night. Didn't have a booking but waited 15 mins for a table. Staff were lovely and welcoming. We had the iberian pork and slow roasted lamb. Both meats were extremely tender - I would definitely recommend. The only thing that let the meal down is the side dishes on the plate. Both served with creamed mash which although nice did not add much flavour. Lamb was served just with mash no vegetables etc. Pork has asparagus and broccoli. Could have been taken to the next level if the side dishes were as good as the meat. Restaurant inside is really well presented however we were seated upstairs which didn't have much of an atmosphere. Overall was pleasantly surprised by our visit as we stumbled upon the restaurant and the meat was truly delicious.

We had high expectations for La Paloma as the rewies were high and the place looks fantastic hence we booked a table there. We ordered tapas bred and wine as a starter - the bred was cold and not really fresh, hence it did not taste anything. We got it changed and ordered lamb with rosmarine and smashed potatos in port wine sause. It took an hour before we got our main course. It did not meet our expectations at all - although it was tender it did not taste rosmarine and the port was missing. Pretty mediocre dish. We also asked a couple dining besides us how did they like the food and the experience was similar to ours. This was a big disappointment although the waitresses were helpful and offer us extra glass of wine. We have a 10 day trip and we have visited 16 restaurants in Palma which have mostly been fantastic.

Don’t be fooled by the nice setting and backdrop of the restaurant. We walked past and the stunning brickwork and architecture inside the restaurant caught our attention. We booked to go for a meal later on the week however it felt more like a pub. The food was really poor quality. I ordered the ‘home made’ ravioli and it was swimming in a creamy sauce. Could hardly taste the ravioli, it was too rich and had a very bland taste overall. My partner ordered the lamb and it was also very bland, no seasoning, with some mash underneath and gravy. Presentation was poor. We ordered veg on the side but that was just boiled veg. Nothing special.
We had visited some stunning restaurants with impeccable service during our stay on Palma, including the Merchant and Ombu, where the waiters were so attentive, the food and menus were very considered and of the highest quality. This restaurant felt mediocre on all levels aside from the building itself. I’d say it’s fine for a cheap and cheerful meal but the prices aren’t cheap. Wouldn’t go again.
If the restaurant had a more refined menu with more attentive service and attention to detail with everything from presentation to taste of the food then it would be a fantastic place to visit. Felt like they cut corners on the overall experience.

Another repeat visit, and this place lives up to its reputation. In a very difficult year, the staff were exceptional; helpful, attentive, welcoming. I loved the cute touch of using enormous teddy bears on certain seats to ensure social distancing; even one on a bar stool! The food was as exceptional as I remember it from 2 years ago and the wine list extensive. Try the local Mallorcan wines - certainly the best! My only little quibble was that I did not receive the dessert I ordered - but the desert that came was delicious, anyway. Looking forward to another visit, some day.

Nice ambiance and interior design. However, the food was a let-down. My boyfriend had been there many times before and suggested we go there, but he was also disappointed in the lack of quality of the food, as well as the lack of attentiveness from the staff. The squid was tasting like rubber, and the croquettes contained pork although it was not written in the menu. For what you’re spending you’re better off going elsewhere if you want to leave satisfied and full.

Was recommended this restaurant by friends who visited last year. I have to say it was very disappointing. From the start tomato bread that was hard and no flavour, to flabby patatas bravas with underwhelming sauce to the tasteless cod rolls. Crowing glory was the recommended pork dish which for €23 was 5 slices of overcooked pork again tasteless with a bizarre salad of romaine lettuce and slices of dry brown bread. All together one of the most overpriced and tasteless meals l have had the misfortune to experience

Admittedly we hadnt booked into this busy restaurant however they said they could let us have a table. During the meal we felt they were keen to clear the plates etc as soon as we finished. Food was acceptable but hovering staff made us feel we should speed up our eating!

Had a great time with friends yesterday night. Beautiful setting. Loved the food and service. Baby squid with black squid ink were to die for and wine cooked chorizo the best I had in Palma. Steak with hand cut chips and home made sauces just topped up the night. Highly recommend for Spanish food lovers.

La Paloma restaurant turned out to be a great choice. We chose Tapas of the Day, a variation of different dishes for two people. The entree was extraordinarily delicious. The service was also very nice. Sometimes they served us efficiently and sometimes not...so I guess it depends on the intensity of the room at any given time.
The restaurant is nicely located in the center of Palma. Highly recommended!

I don’t think I’ve written a negative review before but sadly this deserves one. We had an hour before our flight but foolishly hadn’t booked one of the recommendations by friends who live in Palma. So instead ended up here thinking it looked ok. Started badly with the person on the door being very rude and unfriendly. That annoyed me so much that I wanted to leave as soon as we were seated but we were out of time to find somewhere else. I get that lots of tourists are idiotic and rude, but we aren’t, and it was uncalled for. If you don’t like being hospitable then you’re in the wrong job in the hospitality industry. There is zero ambiance in this place and it’s clearly for people who don’t know any better. The food was absolutely atrocious. Like seriously, disgusting. Meatballs from a can (???), cold, tinned tasting sauce, all the food came out stone cold, stale crackers and bread. Honestly - tapas- it’s a National dish…how can you mess it up so badly?! Cold octopus croquettes?! Again how? They’re deep fried. Husband and I left feeling grimey because it was just so horrible. Perhaps if you’re someone who doesn’t know decent food or tapas you’d enjoy but after having some of the best food we’ve ever eaten in Mallorca (our family live here) this place was dire. Avoid. Oh- we’ve both got stomach issues today. Which may or may not be related, but yeah, cold octopus croquettes don’t bode well for health. 🤢. Sorry for the overshare.

The restaurant seems cozy. We chose (unfortunately) a set menu with 4 courses for 35 euros. It was a mistake. Totally boring food, without special taste or presentation.
We had to e.g. have beef entrecote but got veal entrecote. Dry cold fries.
Palma cotta without vanilla flavor. Prawns with chives did not taste of garlic and were over fried.
The staff runs so fast that there is never eye contact or presentation of the food. It is a "Money machine" not a good experience.
Too bad because it did well with good reviews and it looked cosy

Seen the reviews so reserved a table. Very disappointing in every respect. We found the waiters dismissive, unengaging. No smiles or eye contact. We are very polite and use some Spanish to order. But no replies. Ordered croquettes and garlic prawns to start. 20 mins for croquettes to arrive. No prawns - asked where the other starter was - just a raised eyebrows, ‘I’ll check ‘. Which he did not, as we watched him go to take loaders at other tables. Asked again another waiter, said 2 minutes. By this point we had finished the croquettes. Asked again about the prawns? They arrived 10 mins after we’d finished the croquettes. We said to the waiter , should be served together, waited a long time - no apology, just shrugged shoulders.
Waisted another 20 mins, for main course - lamb and salmon. The lamb was ok, nothing special, certainly not the best Mallorca lamb we;ve had. Salmon, small portion, very over cooked and dry. Actually tasteless , vegetables were on the raw side of crunchy, more crudite . Not pleasant. Waiter came and quickly took our two empty glasses, we weren’t asked if we wanted another drink. No one asked if food was ok. But they asked if we wanted to add tip to,the bill ! Ummm no.
We felt very disappointed and annoyed at wasting £96 when there are far better places we visited. Eg Ambra.
Yes the inside is pretty , but the service and food are a 1/10. Don’t waste your money and time.

We were pleased to book a reservation at La Paloma as our daughter had recommended it to us. The restaurant is welcoming, warm and friendly, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is ideal for a romantic evening.
The menu is incredibly tempting and I would recommend the salmon & advocado tartare as a starter and the Iberian Secreto (a pork cut) and the slow roasted shoulder of lamb for main. Both meat dishes melt in your mouth.
La Paloma isn't expensive and is truly value for money.

Dear La Paloma,
My review was meant to show 5 stars for value, service and food, but somehow shows 1 star for each.
We had a a wonderful time, as per the rest of my review and I would confirm that I would score you 5 stars all round.
Perhaps you could respond on Tripadvisor that I have contacted you to try and correct these ratings?
Best regards,
