Hidden among the cobbled streets of the centre of Palma, in a restored mansion in the old town, is the restaurant FERA. A "sensory orchestra" directed by Austrian chef Simon Petutschnig, he seamlessly combines Mediterranean and Asian flavours to create what he calls "Mediterranean cuisine without borders". The chef only uses the best raw materials, making them the protagonist and fusing local ingredients that he uses in each of his tasting menus or a la carte options. Majorca in just one course.

I have never been a fan of fine dining or taster menus. I have travelled to many places and enjoyed the delightful food from the streets and the beach shacks and by invitation to a veranda in someone’s home in Thailand. The food is all around you and it’s all about the food and not about the restaurant. But I would like to say what a fabulous experience I had at Fera. The staff were first class. From the meet and greet, the table for two in the garden, the lighting the whole ambiance was incredible. We come to the menu and the food. The courses were designed and timed so well. It gave me an opportunity to evaluate the taste of each course and talk about the explosion of different flavours. The most impressive course for me was what would appear to be the most basic or even the most simplest. But the bread and olive oil was for me incredible, it reminded me of old Majorca, the olive groves, the finca’s and the farmers. Ingenious. Thank you all, the staff and the chefs. Chris.

Best place for fine dining in Palma

We had lovely dinner at Fera last saturdaynight, enjoying their gourmet menu with matching wine pairing. All dishes we delicious, very nice plated and well balanced tastes and same time divers. We only could get a seating for 19.00 which meant that we were alone the first 1,5 hour which is a bit pity ambiance wise but the positive was that we got very nice, good and personal attention from the waiters. Highly recommended

Delightful Valentines Day Dinner

Had we spent Valentines Day at home in the UK we would not of gone out for dinner. Too many over crowded, understaffed, badly prepared meals scatter Valentines Day memories. This year we were in Palma and decided to return to Fera. The restaurant had been busy but as our table was not booked until 10.30 the craziness of the peak dining had subsided. There was a 7 course set menu which was preceded by a house cocktail. I am very cautious when it comes to fruit based cocktails, but this was delicious, ingredients included fresh raspberry puree, a blackcurrant syrup and Dutch Jenever, it had a pleasing sourness. The barman was great fun. being somewhat irreverent about other clients, and suitably attentive to our drinks requirements. Tables were tastefully dressed with a few rose petals and the 7 course dinner began. A splendid mix of flavours, and textures, sweet and sour, hot and cold. This chef has a great skill set, and more importantly he made sure that the quality of the food maintained standards through to the very end of the evening (we were the last to leave the restaurant at 2.00 am). Great Food, Excellent selection of wines by the glass, Efficient service. Highly recommend this place.

Great food and Great Service

i was looking for a good restaurant in Palma to take a business group i was hosting of 10 people to. A friend who lives part on the year on Mallorca recommended Fera as their favourite. i took the recommendation and booked a table with a very helpful young lady named Anastasia who helped me select a menu, advance ordering being essential with a group of 10. we had one vegetarian in our group and she was very well catered for with a full debrief at the table of each course being delivered by a charismatic fellow named Terrance. The rest of us had the "Winter Menu" with some opting for the Lobster starter in place of the delicious salmon i enjoyed, and some for the Loin of Lamb main course in place of the "standard" Hake. All tastes were catered for, the gazpacho amuse bouche was superb and the middle course of mushroom risotto was so good some of our group thought it was their favorite. We drank only Mallorcan wines, guided by Terrance and they were first class. If I was being picky I would say the restaurant was overheated and too hot, the sparkling water was only vaguely 'petillant' and perhaps because we arrived on a Friday evening at 9pm (having changed from an original booking at 8pm) the restaurant was full and service a tad slow, but nevertheless very friendly. All in all it was a very successful evening and was very much enjoyed by our entire party. Fera is also located in a pretty convenient central location and looks "interesting" on arrival.

Excellent, chic, incredible flavors, lunch on the terrace

We were a table of two couples and had an incredible lunch. We weren't for sure if they'd 'scale back' the service because of COVID but the only difference we experienced were that the waiters wore masks. The service was impeccable, the lunch menu was a delicious array of flavors, we also got the chefs choice as an extra and it was more than worth it! While the food was incredible, the terrace and outdoor garden made the experience that much more. I will say that we came for dinner about 6 months ago and while it was good, we didn't think it was extraordinary for the price. However, we are SO happy we came back for a second time, this time for a set menu lunch, because it definitely changed our minds for the better! Our friends loved it and also said they'd definitely be coming back often :)

Awesome Food, service and and ambience combined to make a wonderful evening - seasonal tasting menu was reasonably priced with excellent selection of Mallorcan wines all fair price.All Staff from the M’aitre to waiters and sommelier were attentive but not pushy and responded positively to all our requests like switching a plate in the menu and slowing service at points. Looking forward to going back for next seasons menu!

Almost perfect!

We managed to get a table here one Thursday evening and sat outside which I highly recommend as the garden is gorgeous. Service was a little slow in general which is why I have knocked off 1 star. There was a little longer waits for orders to be taken/empties to be removed for my liking but then again I am super picky!! We went for the vegetarian and Fera taster menus which wine pairings which I highly recommend! Each dish was well presented and really flavoursome. We enjoyed each one!! Bill came to 200 Euros for 2 of us which also included 2 beers, 2 waters and a cocktail which they made especially for us. all in all it was a truly magical experience and one that we thoroughly enjoyed!

Has to be the best

I started my search for somewhere really good for our first night in Palma and this restaurant kept popping up .l telephoned to make a reservation and one was available.We found this gem down a well light side street and were greeted by front of house that really knew their stuff . We selected their tasting menu which had everything that any palate would enjoy . The food started to arrive and each course was as good as the one before, it was to die for .Their wine list has something for everyone and good value too. I can only describe the food as probably the best food I have eaten and I don't say that lightly top marks to the kitchen staff the attention to detail was ten out of ten . We all said that upon our return to Palma this restaurant will be our first port of call . Great food great staff .

My daughter and I visited this restaurant booked in advance and had a lovely experience. We had cocktails in the bar area first and were amazing, good barman. The food was absolutely divine relished it all, not a bad price for the quality of food. Other major cities would charge a lot more.

Quite good, healthier than many other tasting menus

I enjoyed Fera quite a bit. It was busy, so I didn't get my wine for a while after bread arrived (when I was younger and worked in restaurants I was always told bring the alcohol first and the rest won't really matter) - not a huge deal but I noticed and was thirsty ;-) On the upside, glasses of wine were as cheap as 6 or 7 euros, more reasonable than many other upscale restaurants I've been to in Mallorca. A double espresso however was 7.50 which for some reason I just can't fathom. It was a very good meal (did the $69 tasting menu) but had it not been for extra bread I for sure would not have been full. Great, very friendly service!

I’ve been for lunch three times over the last month. Each visit was exceptional. The decor is beautiful and the garden is just the perfect place to relax. The Italian waiter (sorry forgotten his name)obviously loves his job and was very knowledgeable about the produce used and the wines. The chef is very talented, the food being beautifully presented and equally delicious. Thankyou

New Favourite Restaurant

Fera offers a breath of fresh air in Palma. The concept menus are amazing and each morsel of food, tastes better than the previous. Staff are extremely well trained and they cannot do enough to enhance your dining experience. Plus the head chef is on hand to welcome you to the restaurant - which is a very touching and unique experience. Exceptional - 10 out of 10 Fera!!

Saturday Lunch

We tried here as the restaurant we planned to go to was closed. Was seated outside in the shady courtyard, very tranquil. We had the lunch menu and some very nice glasses of cava. Was given an amuse bouche, then had the beetroot gazpacho with cherry and coco foam and the salmon tartar with spicy mango and kimchi mayo. For main we both had the lamb, probably the weakest course and for dessert we both had panna cotta and was given a mini macaroon to finish. Altogether a nice lunch and a complete change for us (fine dining). The service was very good and friendly.

Fera was recommended to us by a friend,which was great because we could make a reservation ahead of time. And I am so glad we did! We had a wonderful experience at Fera. The food is excellent - the portions are very much in line with what we would expert at a fine dining place like this. The team is just amazing,very friendly and with great attention to detail. We liked it so much we went back a couple of days later.

Fantastic Gourmet experience!

When you visit Fera Palma Restaurant, you're in for a real treat. Located in one of the beautiful streets of old Palma city. We opted for their Fera Tasting Menu, designed by acclaimed Executive Chef Simon Petutschnig. Over the course of three hours, we enjoyed our Sunday lunch in their beautiful patio, an urban oasis in the middle of the capital. Our Mediterranean-Asian Cuisine menu included, among others, Son Naava Olive, Nori Steak Tartar and Simmental Beef Filet. The icing on the cake was a delicately designed in-season local Apricot Cheesecake. We were taken care of by Juanma Gutierrez, Operating Manager, whose Team offered impeccable service throughout our meal. They elegantly introduced each course on the menu, accommodated some special dietary requests and took great care of our party. We had a fantastic time at Fera Palma Restaurant and we look forward to visiting again soon. All the best!
