Behind the doors of an average-looking pintxos bar lies a hidden gem of a restaurant. Offering predominantly Basque food with a modern twist, but without pretention, there was something for all of us, with an extensive pintxos selection alongside heartier fare. The to-die-for amuse bouche were a surprise and set the tone for a delicious and very reasonably priced meal.... More

The pulpo pintxo or octopus was good but too dry, far too dry, which made you not taste the octopus which is really the whole idea.Kana as the say at 2.50 sums the place up. They are resting on their laurels , far too much and have become patronising and blase. A croquette at 2.50 again sums it all up.... More

We take the 30 € menú for dinner. Better than expected. The "tortilla de patatas" it's a must try. However the foie mousse could be better. Really good option in Gasteiz

Since we arrived in the late afternoon on both a Monday and holiday, we were unsure what we would find open. We were very pleasantly surprised when we stopped and had a few pintxos and beers in the bar area of Sagatoki. Both the bartenders were very helpful and we enjoyed our late lunch. Later that same day, when we... More

If you are in Vitoria you need to come here! It looks like a cafe from the from the front but go through the back and you will find a modern and contemporary tapas restaurant. We were with a local so he picked a selection of dishes for us and I can say it is one of the best meals... More

The pintxos are really nice, I would say some of the best in the Basque Country and Spain. The fried egg is a must, the potato omelet is very good and the rolls are great. The only setback is the price, which is a bit overpriced, and the service which could be better. Anyway, great place to taste some pintxos.

Visit on Monday 28th December 2015 at night. Pretentious place to serve not only meals, but drinks after hours, etc. Very modern place with a great room for meals. Its combination of high tables with stools and traditional tables creates a friendly atmosphere. Nevertheless, the tables are too close to have privacy enough, and the crockery does not stand with... We had dinner at Sagartoki. The food and cocktails were very good but be ready for steep prices and some pushy waiters who will tempt you to order many dishes. The atmosphere was nice.

One of our last stops on our recent road trip around Spain, we were advised by the Concierge at our Parador that Sagartoki was the best tapas restaurant around. We dutifully hopped into taxis and after a couple of drinks at the Irish pub over the road (I know, not very authentic, but a couple of us were missing their... More

Sadly, this was my first pintxo meal in Basque and was seriously under-whelmed, as well as felt ripped-off. After walking around in the old town area, we decided on (unbeknown to us then) the most expensive bar in VG. . The tiny bites tasted ok, nothing to shout about. After checking out other bars, either we were scammed OR this... More
