I was trying to get a reservation but when they tell you we are booked for six months well there are not as accommodating as the fine people of Arzak. I would have loved to compare and to write my observations on this fine restaurant

Good meal. There were a few standouts, but most of the dishes were not memorable. Apparently the venue is incredibly beautiful, so this might be a better choice for lunch so you can sit on the patio and look out at the sea (or to...More

Akelarre's setting on the ocean is stunning; the outdoor patio areas are picturesque sanctuaries where one can relax and take in the landscape (when it's not raining). As for the restaurant itself, some of the dishes were good. And, like many of the several course,...More

For a Michelin rated restaurant there should NOT be hair in my food. At all. So unsanitary. They compensated by taking a glass of wine off our check.

After 2 nights in modest accommodation in San Sebastian, we blew the budget and stayed at Akelarre for the last night of a recent stay in the Basque region. As others have noted, the views are fantastic and, as we sat down for dinner, we...More

Be sure you understand what you are signing up for and the cost. However, it was worth every penny. It was a dinning experience unlike anything I have ever seen or tasted. The view is amazing if you can go for lunch. With dinner the...More

Very modern building with amazing views. We came at night time but I think it would be better during the day so that you could appreciate the cliff top views and the chill out seats. The service was really great and I liked the way...More
