Incredible food, we went last night but it was so packed we couldn’t get served! Went over at 12.10 before opening and snagged a table outside waiting for them to open. Ordered the suckling pig (absolutely fantastic), black pudding (was one of the best things...I’ve ever eaten), veal cheeks, tuna fish and octopus. My husband had the last 3 and loved them all. Had some local wine as well which is a nice light daytime drink. The guys serving were really nice and helpful. After having no luck getting into most pintxos bars we were stoked to get in here and have such a great feed!More

12 friends visited this pintxos bar as highly recommended by our acquaintances and boy it surely lives up to its reputation. Must try the crunchy pork belly we call it lechon in the Philippines and the crunchy pigs ears, surprisingly good. Yummy!

Outstanding food. The place looks like an old English pub. But do not be phased by this. The food is excellent. Although slightly higher in price than some of the surrounding bars the the quality shines through. We had Octopus, goats cheese, razor calms and...the beef cheek on our two visits. White wine and beer is great too.More

The food does not get any better! Our favourite spot in the old town. The portions are generous and delicious. We tried almost everything, the octopus and pigs ear were a particular stand out but each dish was amazing

San Sebastian is a food paradise and its hard to go wrong with food in general especially with pinxtos. But definitely you have to visit this place. It does pinxtos out of the ordinary you find everywhere. It's a really small place and really busy...and you have to squeeze in to order and fight a bit for a place to eat ....but it worths it. Don't miss the porks ears.. the most delicious thing....Its one of those things you don't want to know  what you are eating but when you eat it is indulging. Also don't miss the risotto in squid ink... it was amazing. Everything we tried was really good. Service is also good and the bartenders try their best to accommodate everyone.  Don't be afraid of the crowds and leave...insist and you won't regret it. Definately a must try!More

This place was so good we went three times. All items on the menu were fresh, delicious, and came out very quickly. Also had cheap beer and outdoor seating on hot nights. The fois gras was insanely good.

Sadly my experience at La Cuchara was completely spoilt by this blonde, curly hair, bodybuilder who works in the kitchen and who was rude and aggressive towards me because i photographed the open kitchen...as i did with all other restaurants i visited and all the...gourmet plates i tasted over my stay in San Sebastian. The food/small dishes i tasted at La Cuchara were all good to excellent and it is a real shame they have someone on the team who doesn't understand food photography & social media...and who behaves like this towards a polite guest who is simply photographing his experience at La Cuchara. Simply unacceptable behavior. Will not be back!More

We went here based on the high marks this pinxto bar gets from reviews, lists, etc, and they're all correct. This was delicious. We arrived around 8:30 on a Thursday and though the restaurant was certainly busy, we found counter space within a minute or...two. There is a separate queue for the tables outside, and at that time of night all the tables were full with maybe 2-3 parties waiting. We ate our whole dinner here because we don't like moving around. As such, we tried almost everything on the menu. We enjoyed everything we ordered but would order again in a heartbeat: octopus, blood sausage, beet "soup", suckling pig, goat cheese with peppers. I enjoyed the veal cheeks but would probably get a smaller portion next time. The squid ink risotto is actually orzo. The servers are fun and friendly, with a good amount of english. There is also an english translation on the menu.More

Every time I come to San Sebastian I go to this place. You can’t go wrong with the food here. The following are a must if you eat meat: Foie Grass, Carrilleras and the pulpo. If you are a veggie, you can still have a...couple of pintxos: the goat cheese, the red peppers and the salmorejo. Getting a table here is very difficult, so I’d suggest getting a few small portions and have them by the bar at the entrance.More

This place is a great food destination, well worth the trip, and having visited here both this week and four years ago it still consistent in every aspect. The food is excellent , staff are still a bit ‘ too cool for school’. That being...said, it did not disappoint. The ‘lomo de merluz’ was perfection.More

Very good food, seriously great quality. A pity the very poor service and customer attention. We sit and ordered some raciones, telling them that we might have ordered something else later: well, when we asked to order more, they just say that the kitchen was...closed, they didn't even apologize for not having tell us before.More

Delicious and flavourful pintxos - one of the favourites of our trip! The oreja (pigs ear), veal cheeks, razor clams, and suckling pig were all amazing! Each bite was an absolute delight and we would definitely come back! We loved standing at the bar to...order and eat, however there are a few tables outside to sit at!More

Authentic, amazing value , great food and a real experience. This was the best out of 12 pintxos bars we visited without doubt. Everything is cooked fresh , so nothing on show at the bar as there are in many other places . Will definitely...come back here againMore

We went at lunch time, but we also know that they are opened in the evenings, because we tried but it was full and couldn't get a table. Worth trying to get it.

Hi this is a casual pintxo bar and standing room only. No need for reservation. Not sure about exact opening times - they're open for lunch and closes around 2 pm. Reopens again for dinner till late.
