Old diner with good basic diner food: eggs, omelettes, fries, sausage, etc. Thing to come for are the churros. We missed the chocolate but the churros didn't need them, they were not too sweet, a little sugar on the outside, crunchy and so light and...wonderful inside. It was a great way to start the day! Also my child accidentally broke a glass while we were there and the staff were quick to respond clean up and were so nice.More

Open since 1956/7. Typical place where our parents would take us for churros. Have not been there in ages and for some reason we went this week. Amazing price 3.50e for a hot chocolate and churros. Not the cleanest looking place but they try their...best to make you feel comfortable: offering help with wheelchairs, prams, switching tables to avoid any draught on elderly people. A nice rediscovery. And last but not least, surprisingly one of the few places in town with high chairs and a baby changer.More

Most other reviews nailed it: diner-esque ambiance, plenty of seating, quick service, and you get exactly what you order. We went twice during our trip and both times did not have to wait for service or seating. The churros were admittedly better (fresher) in the...early morning vs. the afternoon. Cafe con leche was excellent and the American-ish breakfast hit the spot after a week of mostly pintxos and seafood. Over easy eggs with french fries is a hit.More

We were recommended to come with children to this place as they serve excellent churros and so we did. What started off with just the churros, ended in big portions of cheeseburgers and chips. All the food is good, freshly prepared, abundant and cheap. The...real plus of this establishment is its ambence: totally unpretentious but not in the least vulgar or cheap looking....just a very relaxing cafe' where to enjoy good food in a great atmosphere. When visiting the old town of Donostia, this place is excellent for a snack or meal.More

Tired of expensive meals around San Sebastián? Try this place and you will never regret it. It’s a good value for money. All staff can speak English! Their churros Y chocolate is recommended.

A simple unassuming place. I would not have visited without a recommendation. But it's humble looks can be deceiving. Inside they serve the best churros in the world. The chocolate is dark, sticky and thick and not oily at all. Perfect for dipping. The churros...are long, perfectly fried and light. Similar to thin doughnut sticks. Not greasy to the touch. I ate both with gusto. And wanted more and more and more. It was that good. And the price made it superior value. Why do I say it's the best churros in the world? I have tried the churros from Valor Spain, La Lola Philippines, and many many others. Eating in Santa Lucia made me enjoy churros again. It was as if ate churros for the first time. Wonderful place!More

I came upon this shop by accident! Like an old school canteen, I did not expect the churros here would be one of the best I've had my whole like! The serving was perfect and freshly fried! Would recommend this to anyone going to San...Sebastian!More
