I've been to San Sebastián many times and have tried many of the restaurants in la parte vieja. Gandarias is always first on my list of places to eat and drink. Get the vaca vieja and enjoy all that beef can really be for a...More

After having pinxtos for couple of days it was nice to sit properly at dinner table and enjoy good service and excellent food. Not fine dining but very tasty local food! Pimientos rellenos was good and so was grilled squid. They do serve also pinxtos...More
Had a dinner reservation for a sit down meal on our last night in town so I can't comment on the pinxtos which is a thriving part of this bar/restaurant. Dinner was really nice and I had yet more lovely polpo. Great wine list as...More
Incredibly busy Saturday evening and nonetheless both the food and the service were great! Really loved the scallops skewer (vieira) and the toast with solomillo! All pinxos were more than fresh with a great variety ... trust that we are going back already this week!

Our family recently spent a week in San Sebastián and we ate most nights in the local pinxtos bars. Gandarias was one of our favorites for their solomillos (grilled fillets with peppers and sea salt). Delicious!
Visited as part of a Pintxos Hunting tour. Had a glass of delicious Trus red wine, a platter of local ham, some mushrooms with fantastic deep flavours like porcini, and a stunning piece of melt-in-the-mouth steak on bread. Very impressive.
An always crowded venue but with such professionals behind the bar there was no waisted time. Just asked for a glass of Rioja and got something like the best of spanish reds so far. The sirloin and foie gras pintxoes were my favourites.
