Unassuming yet expertly-prepared regional dishes, served in a charming, wood-themed underground setting. Professional service, good value.

What a great way to spend Sunday afternoon! The tasting menu was sublime and the wine matching inspired. I particularly loved the Spider crab pilpil, anchovy lasagne, slow cooked egg in Emmenthal broth. Moving on the tuna was perfectly complemented by onion compote and roast...More

Unfortunately Bodegon Alejandro did not meet my expectations and my partner & I left hungry. I was looking for a filling and satisfying dinner however this place is all about small portions and fancy delivery. In my view it has lost the meaning of real...More

Eating at Bodegón Alejandro is like eating in an underground, secret club. Fantastic food and service! Everything was well presented and very tasty. Not over the top fancy but beautiful and flavorful. Best seafood stew ( gave us an entire tureen!) and I still can’t...More

This restaurant is one of several restaurants that shows how high-quality food is easily accessible outside of 2-3 star michelin establishments. Make a reservation! Although the entrance looks like another pintxo place, it’s a sit-down only restaurant that serves seasonal and hearty basque cuisine and...More

I have no idea if they have gluten free options but there is no particular dress code. Restaurants in San Sebastián tend to be mainly informal (no jeans with holes, though).
