We had a late lunch here yesterday. Mushrooms with the egg were to die for. We didn’t wait for very long -we got there at 2:30. Service was very good and attentive.

Mushroom/eggs and foie is indeed fabulous. Also the T-bone was prepared properly without a sea of salt, just right. The tarbot (for two) tasted great, however …. the serving staff did not alert us when ordering the tarbot that this dish would costs us €108...…. which (even at €54 pp) is starting to get ridiculously expensive. This restaurant clearly has the history and the food is good yet not differentiated enough to warrant the very high prices.More

Yes I'm another crazy fan of the Mr Bourdain and I HAD to try this place out. I knew the kitchen closed at 15:15 and I queued at 15:00...I was lucky to get a table and quickly ordered the crab tart and the dish that...Mr Bourdain had me drooling over...the mushrooms egg and foie...he's not a legend for no reason it was incredible. Even diners when I ordered it (locals) were praising my choice. Staff here are wonderful too..I think people who wrote negative reviews must be unlucky to have a bad experience..they couldn't have been more accommodating and patient. Yes it's an expensive lunch...but hey I don't know anywhere that does that dish!More

Used to be a Great place …5 years ago…now it’s sadly run by employees with poor attitude and no heart for the job. Best advise is to let someone else experience the disappointment for You and spare You the meeting with dreadfull waitors….the city has...so many better options!!!More

Superb mushroom selection. Eat them and drink some of that crazy Vasco vino from Getaria, down the road, and you have what you require. Would be interesting if they would add some psychotropic mushrooms on the bara. There are plenty in the hills over Donostia....But, of course, not as many as Palenque in Mejico. A votre sante!More

A very helpful lady working in a nearby hat shop recommended this restaurant. The service was very good, even though it was busy. The food for me was outstanding. The dish that really sticks in my head was the mushrooms with the egg yolk, who...knew mushrooms could taste that good. But actually everything was excellent. The wine too (Ardanza I think it was called). Price here is a little higher than average, but totally worth it. I didn’t book in advance, but it’s probably a good idea to do so, I assume this place is heaving most days, and for good reason.More

what a joke, worst service i ever ever had in my life. Unfriendly staff and very arrogant. We ask for the Bill after the first meal because we did not want to stay any longer at this place. Terrible!

Hands down had the best single pintxo/raciones here: the mushroom and egg yolk. It's 20 euro but sooooo worth it. I could have easily eaten 5 of them. Other pintxos were also here including the shrimp and cheese. More on a side street with a...bit less traffic.More

Local friends alerted us to this great experience. It's only eight tables, the service very informal, but the food is simply fantastic. Strong wine list too. The prize of the night was the besugo for two (whole line-caught red seabream). Sorry I didn't take a...picture of this wonderful fish.More

Tapas were delicious, my favorite was the sausage in the pastry! Service is slower compared to other tapas bars in the town, also gets very crowded!
