After visiting the Guggenheim Museum we decided to have lunch there and everyone on the table agreed to have the tasting menu with wine paring. The food was very good would say one of the best meals I had in Bilbao. Highly recommend the place and very reasonable price

We went to the terrace of the Guggenheim next to the bistro for some Pintxos and we were very enthusiastic. Of course they can't rival with the the top pintxos restaurants, but then for a museum it is absolute perfect. Even though it was very busy, like always at the Guggenheim, the service was very satisfactory. Excellent whine choices and... More

We enjoyed this restaurant for dinner as part of an upscale tour group. The service and food were excellent. Among the dishes were a crabmeat terrine, cod with eggs, hake in green sauce, and lamb over a vegetable and hazelnut puree. The dessert was somewhat like a bread pudding: cartelized french toasted soaked in egg yolk and cream and topped... More

Of course, you will want to go to the Guggenheim, however, if you already went (or are going at another time), please consider a lunch at the Bistro. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made well ahead of time. We enjoyed the 3 course lunch. A glass of wine is included. Very nice service and terrific food. Loved it!... More

After visiting the Guggenheim Museum, we opted to dine at the adjacent Bistro restaurant. Varied menu with some unique suggestions. Bread, a sampling of Pintxos and a bottle of local wine started the dinner. We chose the lamb taurine and the Haik seafood entrees. Neither disappointed. Choice of after dinner drinks and desserts were included in the price of our... More

We had the €29.50 menu which gets you three courses of superb food, half a bottle of wine, water and tea/coffee. For a starter I had the spider crab terrine which comes on toasted bread/brioche with crunchy lettuce, pickled onien and sun-dried tomato which tasted fabulously fresh and was a very nicely balanced dish. For my main I had (for... More

Description
Bistró Guggenheim Bilbao values a free style of cuisine, linked to its roots, to the memory of those dishes that are part of a culture and which need to be adapted to an avant-garde context, without losing neither flavors nor textures. Recipes and sauces are the foundation of our work, though refined, evolved and adapted for the general public that seeks savory, healthy cuisine, and an informal gastronomic experience.
