Lunxh special is a good price. Interesting flavour that all hit above par. Nothing out of the ball park but great over all.

Excellent meal, superior service and a beautiful restaurant. I would highly recommend this location if you are in Bilboa and want a spectacular meal! We had a group of 13 people and Bascook worked out a pre-planned menu that was beyond expectation. We will return again just to enjoy this location. Sabrina

Everything from the placement of the restaurant in the old salt store of Bilbao, the presentation of the tables, the kind and friend service, to the well-done and taste food invite to stay there and to go back. The wine selection is very good. The food deserves one Mich star. Integration of Basque traditional food with oriental plates is perfect.... More

Only a great chef could build up such an impressive menu, full of dishes from the basque tradition (as the bacalao pil-pil, one of the best in town) but also rich of asian footprints well-melted with the local (beloved) ingredients. I'm a tartare lover, and the one that I ate here was really amazing. High-quality wine selection, as expected. The... More

Having read other reports, my wife expected to be able to order from a vegetarian menus. There is indeed a list of seven vegetarian options however several contained fish! So beware. Having said this our waiter was extremely helpful and attempted to meet my wife's needs. Sadly it did not quite work out as the kitchen did not totally comprehend... More

Fantastic space, food — and music! U2 & REM through Cash's "hurt" and various recent metal anthems. Food is similarly surprising —1/3rd vegetarian, 1/3 supposedly trad Basque (but also super interesting) and 1/3 Asian fusion. Spicy! Amazing deserts too— g&t sorbet! Way too interesting for Michelin in my experience.

A surprise weekend birthday trip to Bilbao with my partner and so no time to book any restaurants in advance. Of course everyone eats late in Spain and so we tried our chances in town at the comparatively early time of 9pm. Almost hidden down a relatively quiet side-street, we found Bascook and the extremely helpful woman at the desk... More

We had an amazing meal at Bascook - the menu is really inventive and the food was absolutely stunning. It's very difficult to find vegetarian food in Bilbao too, so the fact there is a dedicated veggie section on the menu is fantastic. And the portion sizes were very generous! We booked in advance having tried unsuccessfully during our last... More

If you visit Bilboa, besides Guggenheim Museum, this is the one place you have to go to try the food. Make sure you make reservation way in advance. Its well worth it.
