We went to Cafe Iruna for beers to decide where to head for lunch, and we saw the menu of the restaurant next door. It had a lunch menu for €25 that included a starter, main, dessert and a bottle of wine! Usually restaurants in Bilbao require a reservation, but we tried our luck by walking in. Thankfully we got... Great spot for watching the world go by. The interior decor is amazing. However the service was very slow. We ordered patatas bravas and rabas. Both dishes were average at best.

Big old tiled bar off the bottom of the gran Via in Bilboa like all big old bars it is wonderfully efficient the food at lunchtime is good quality and at night the "pintxo muronos are wonderful freshly made skewers of marinaded lamb. Good mix of locals ( I met my ex wife here!) and tourists highly recommended !

This has to rank as one of the most architectural finds amongst bars and restaurants in Bilbao. Incredible Moroccan style decor. Huge selection of wine and beers. The restaurant is brilliant. Recommend booking in advance if it's a weekend. The bar is next to a tree lined square. Fabulous place.

We happened onto this Cafe by chance, and went in for a quick breakfast. The food (cafe con leche and pastry) was of good quality, but the real attraction is the Cafe itself, with its beautiful antique interior and atmosphere!

This bar is one of the prettiest bars in the whole of Bilbao. Food and service are ok, however pintxos morunos (mini kebabs) are great. Only 10 min from Guggenheim and 10 from casco ciejo

This well established old style Bar/Restaurant is located across the street from Los Jardines de Albia and down the street from Hotel Abando, which stayed I at. You can enjoy the restaurant, stand at the bar or sit at the outside tables and people watch. There is plenty of atmosphere and delicious pinchos, the speciality 'pinchos morunos'. Open breakfast lunch... More

We asked for a table in the restaurant. It was 7pm on a Sunday evening, Cafe Iruna was about half full - so the staff weren't rushed off heir feet. The manner of the waiters was aweful - we were made to feel very unwelcome from the moment the waiter showed us a table. Five other tables occupied in the... More

Nice setting at a convenient location. Old restaurant with classy waiters. After that, food is most horrible meal ever in Spain. Disney World Orlando is much better.
