Casa Conrado is not a very big restaurant but it is quite elegant and has white tablecloths, which are important for my wife and I. We ordered a menu de la casa and a merluza a la sidra. Besides that we ordered a beer without alcohol and a glass of white wine. The food was quite good and the service... More

Casa Conrado disappoints from beginning to end. As we arrived for dinner we could hear the loud chatter coming from the kitchen. Some passionate argument about employee relations that had not concluded by the time we left. The only one waiter for the entire dinning room would abandon the tables and sneak to a corner to watch a small TV... More

I am a local and my husband works in the meat business abroad. On the last days of his stay in Asturias he was looking forward to sampling the region's famed ribeye steak. We chose Casa Conrado as we had heard good reviews about food and service. While we were deciding on the courses, I noticed one of the waiters... More

Casa Conrado is run by the third generation of restaurateurs. It has seen better times, but it is still a good choice for traditional dishes, albeit slightly on the expensive side for what you get. The bar at the entrance seems busy with regulars, so it can be difficult to attract the attention of the one (friendly) waiter tending the... More

What you pay for what you get is not that worthy. The environment is old style and classic. The food we had wasn't as good as what I expected. The octopus was over-boiled, however you can get a variety of good wines.

Its a very traditional place in the centre of Oviedo. In the entrance there is a big bar area which invites for a drink before dinner. In the rear is the restaurant area. The menu offers tratidional meals from Asturias. The quality of the dishes is good but honestly it does not justify the price. Same for the service, the... More

Casa conrado offers good quality food and is worth to experience Asturias cuisine. I had beans with clams (fabas con almajas) and my brother tried hake with 2 clams on the side and with a light tomato based sause. Both were really good. It was lunch time and 10 out 15 tables were occupied. Probably reservation is necessary for dinner.

This place has existed for ever. And this is clear from the various bits of history and clutter that has accumulated over the years. Some people might find this interesting, some might say musty. The service by both waiters is definitely old school. Very correct and appropriate, even the attire is like that. But it is a bit stiff. The... More
