We ate dinner tonight in this small friendly restaurant. The menu was interesting with many choices. We had beans with ham, salad with fresh wild asparagus, and roast Iberian pork with a salt crust, all washed down with a local inexpensive wine. Dessert was tangerine sorbet with vodka and chocolate pudding with tangerine sorbet with a cream sauce. On a... More

Small, very busy with friendly and helpful staff. It was a Thursday evening, I had no booking and no chance of a table but they got me a seat at the bar which was just fine. Brilliant menu with a lot of unusual specials, both tapas and menu. Good selection of Aragon wines to complement the food. Highly recommend this... More

We agree with most other reviews that this place is a definite visit . You must book in advance because it is very popular with locals and is always busy , we tried to get a table for a Friday as a walk up but could not get a table until Monday which we booked because we were returning to... More

Visited for lunch - we didn't reserve but they managed to find us a table. All other customers were locals. 2 of us shared a mixed ham starter - the hams were "melt in the mouth" wonderful. We then shared 2 main courses which were served in succession and were both delicious - there was no problem asking to share... More

We were looking for a nice and typical restaurant in Zaragoza, and Palomeque was apparently one of the best solutions. First of all, they didn't understand we wanted to share the main course and they brought two dishes of the same food (and of course we had to pay for both of them, even if we immediately told them there... Small place, a reservation is required. Tables, chairs and service is good. Food and variety is very good. Local wines from Carinena are very good. Prices are reasonable.

We went here tonight based on a Chow Hound recommendation, and were so pleased. Located on a small street with no other restaurants just off the Cesar Augustus avenue, it features a small bar and perhaps 8 tables. By 9:30, it was filling up with couples with small children, friends gathering for a meal, and a few strangers such as... More

Welcomed by Luis and despite not having a reservation made to feel very welcome. Gaspacho to die for; eight portions of Tapas a delight and the baby broad beans, asparagus and ham brilliant. Returning tomorrow evening to sample more of the extensive menu. Wines by the glass also top class - try the Rioja!

This was one of the best meals during a two week trip across Spain and Portugal. Dropped in for lunch, want to go back. The best anchovies ever, which are an inconspicuous and probably overlooked option from the starters. The tasting platter gave eight different mini-meals, all perfect. Good staff. Good prices.
