Don Antonio’s little bar grew and prospered, and after the war he opened another in Calle Imagen that he called “La Española”.In 1949 Bodeguita Romero was established in Calle General Polavieja, where it achieved great popularity over nearly three decades, becoming a “must-stop” for young students and old folk who drank sherry and ate peanuts in its homely and traditional atmosphere. In 1977, it moved to its present home in Calle Harinas in the Arenal neighbourhood, where it has maintained its popularity thanks to the

What a great find! So good when dining alone to be able to order single portions. Everything was great, but the pork cheeks were absolutely incredible! Perfect with a glass of Oloroso. Great friendly service.

Amazing food here close to the cathedral. It’s on the small streets away from a lot of people but we’re sure glad we came here. We had the shrimp tortilla, spinach with chickpea, pringas and porkcheeck. All of these dishes were so good! We’re even...ordering some to go. Note that the pringa is pretty small, so don’t be afraid to order your own.More

We only discovered this on our last day. It had been recommended by someone at our hotel. If we’d discovered it earlier, we’d have gone back. It was a fabulous local tapas restaurant which was very popular, judging by how crowded it was all through...the lunch period. Inside there are small tables around the walls and stools along the central bar, with extra seating outside. We had no hope of getting a table by the time we arrived but we were able to sit at the bar, which was fun. The food was great. We kept ordering dishes. We ordered more than normal, probably because from our seats at the bar we could see lots of different foods being brought out of the kitchen. Everything looked so delicious that we kept wanting to try it. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat another thing, we’d spot something new and couldn't resist. The menu is large and has English descriptions beneath the Spanish. Plates are mostly small and suitable for sharing.  You can order a tapa size (which ranged from about €2.50 – 3.80) or ½ portion (mostly around €8-10) or full racion (mostly around €12+). Our 2 favourites were the braised Carrillera Iberica (Iberico pork cheek) and the cola de toro (oxtail) which were standouts. We also ordered boquerones (breaded anchovies), Papas alinas (marinated potatoes), the habas baby con jamon (scrambled eggs with baby broad beans & Iberico ham) and the croquettes. All were good.More

Love their tapas! Nice and busy place! They have two restaurants in the same street! We sat at the bar! Friendly staff. Don’t miss the piripi! Little sandwich!!! Try it

Great tapas especially the Carillada and the best Pringa we tried in Seville. Good atmosphere and full of locals.

Found this place on the internet and were warned to get there early..........just as well we did as it filled up quickly and we could see why. Great little place, great menu with some items we would never have thought of trying but so glad...we did. Service was very good and friendly. Food was so good for a 'tapas'type place. Prices reasonable and if visiting.....you have to try one of the many sherry's on offer.More

Sooo good. Try the weird things on the menu that they recommend... we had the salmorejo (a favorite of mine!), a bocadillo de solomillo with whiskey, croquetas, and the bocadillo with black sausage. It was packed at 2pm, so be aware!

We just had to come to this establishment. Came with my husband and 15 year old son. No he did not drink alcohol he had a soft drink with his meal. So glad we came here. It was around 7:30 and it was very crowded....Locals and tourists here is always a good sign. Ordered the specialty which is Pringa and did not disappoint. The Cola de Toro was excellent, taco de bacalao and Pavia de Bacalao which was so much betterMore

Most bars/restaurants in Seville are open throughout the year and I would guess that it will be no different particularly over Easter
