There's a brilliant area in Seville were there are some really good bar's and located on C.Mateos Gogo there's an excellent tapas bar that's called La Goleta-Taberna Álvaro Peregil. This fantastic tapas bar was established in 1904 as a wine bar which eventually turned into this superb tapas bar and is run by the son of Pepe Peregil. This man was a famous flamenco singer and theres a few fantastic tapas bars named in honour of this famous flamenco singer and a statue. This very good tapas bar has a traditional old world tapas bar look and feel with lot's of interesting fixtures and features and it's a bar well worth visiting. We visited here on our 6 day trip to Seville and what a superb tapas bar it is. We visited here early in the afternoon on a roasting hot day and visited here for a few drinks. It was really busy when we went here but it didn't take us that long to get served. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Cruzcampo brewery beer's which where served iced cold and were well priced. A superb tapas bar that's located in a very lively area with superb staff and a very well priced range of food and drink and it's well worth going to.(This is my first review of the La Goleta-Taberna Álvaro Peregil). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-12.00-00.30.

A friendly address under the orange trees in a lively and very touristy area. We settled there a bit by chance but it was a nice surprise! The waiters are very friendly and the tapas are good in an area full of tourist traps.

Set in the heart of the touristy area, Taberna Alvaro Peregil is a simple, affordable tapas bar. We tried the orange wine. Some may like it, but it wasn't for us, we'll stick to the more traditional wines. The service and staff were fine and the food was good and fairly priced.

We went in looking for a place to eat and to our surprise, they had free tables... now we know why. They took a while to serve us, some dishes never arrived and, finally, bored, we asked for the bill without finishing eating. The interior tables are absurdly high with a lower shelf to place your shin-busting lumps. Uncomfortable, very uncomfortable. It was a shame to say goodbye to Seville with this experience.

Very good location, in front of the Giralda. The street has a lot of life. The waiter who served us was very friendly and kind. We ordered several portions and they were very good. We loved the shrimp fritters, highly recommend ordering them. To drink, we tried the orange wine, also recommended.

Plate of tomato slices with light and fresh mallow! The croquettes are delicious! The cod tapa and the shredded meat montadito, all very delicious! Accompanied by a glass of fragrant orange wine and sangria, we will definitely repeat again, very attentive and fast, thank you!

Very central location near the Cathedral. We stopped here for an aperitif at a table outside and ordered two sangrias, one bocadillo with chorizo and one with pringa. Good bocadillos, the sangria a little too sweet. The staff were not very friendly, they seemed a little annoyed.

We went there to try the orange wine and it didn't disappoint! Fresh and very sweet wine. We ate tapas, I recommend the pork cheeks 😋 it was a shame we no longer had the tortilla… Typical Seville tavern that is worth it

Friendly and friendly service, some devilishly rich tapas, especially salmon, meatballs and potatoes. It has two areas, I was more comfortable in the less famous, but since they share a kitchen there was no doubt. Huelva's finesse in full flow.

A very small Tapas bar with only four tables outside (I was lucky to get one at 2pm just as a couple were leaving). I was approached by a friendly waitress who, although she didn't really speak English, did her best to communicate and understand what people wanted for their Tapas experience. She understood what I said in Portuguese (I don't really speak Spanish) and it turned out she'd a really good sense of humour. She was very helpful with food sugestions and I appreciated that I was not rushed into making a choice. Service was reasonably quick, but attentive when it came. Food-wise, I had tapas of prawn, minced and rolled in crust, chick-peas and spinach and batatas bravas. Three good glasses of a decent Verdejo and she merited the tip I left her. Food was good, but sometimes service says so much more. Price-wise, much the same as the other Tabernas on this street. Recommended.

Was disappointed by this place in comparison to other bars we’ve been to in Seville and elsewhere recently. The croquettas were a particular disappointment - advertised as home made but all uniform and tasteless, clearly out of a packet or frozen. The spinach and chickpeas dish was tasty but was luke warm or cold as it hadn’t been warmed properly. Glasses of wine also smaller than the average.

We loved this little bar. All of the staff were very friendly especially the lady who introduced us to the ‘orange wine’ or vino de naranjas. It was delicious and we made this bar our last stop every evening to watch the world go by whilst sipping this glorious sherry infused with seville oranges. Would go back in a heart beat. Did not try the food but would recommend to try the ‘orange wine’ alone. Thank you !

It’s by no means fancy but the orange wine and tapas a both excellent. The service is very Spanish (quick and a little frosty - but these guys are busy so go eat on them). We had a great waiter, Andreas, who was happy to correct my poor Spanish and even happier for me to correct his (excellent) English. It’s incredible reasonable, the food highlight are the Espinacas con Garbanzos and the Melva Montaditos

I had two things - Migas with chorizo and cochinito con Roquefort/pork magréate with Roquefort. On the first, a lot of migas, barely any chorizo. Too bad because the fl or was good. On the second, a nice little sandwich with melted cheese and a piece of ham.

Much better food and drink elsewhere, with much more respectful staff. We stumbled upon this place at about 9:30 p.m. because it had an open table. Staff initially ignored us despite making eye contact; was hostile when we asked for the bill; patronizing when we asked to pay by card as though we couldn’t understand her pronounce “taaaarjetttta”; and openly racist as she obstructed the doorway when an English-speaking Asian couple walked up at 10 p.m. to inform them that the place was “closed.” It was not. We’re white folks in our early 30s and it was obvious to us what she was doing. She let in some locals and the place is still open late into the night, just like every other place in Spain. Send your business elsewhere.
