Was after a wine bar more so than a restaurant to enjoy some vino as well as tapas and this place did not disappoint. Great selection of wines, lovely tapas including a Morrocan chicken fill pastry parcel that was divine! 4 glasses of very good quality wine and 3 tapas came to 30 Euros. Don't hesitate, pop in here if you get a chance!

My wife and I have been in Sevilla for over a month and have eaten at many of the restaurants in the Santa Cruz area. We have been to Vineria 4 times and feel it’s one of the best. Regarding the food and wine, all the people who work there are very friendly and willing to help make choices. As we typically do at restaurants where we are not familiar with the ingredients, nor the preparation, we ask for recommendations. We have never been disappointed with their suggestions. Their wine selections are extensive and they go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying the entire experience. No matter how long you are in Sevilla, try to make it there for lunch or dinner as it is one of the best. .

Returning to this little restaurant after two years or so, I was a little nervous that the excellent food and service I used to experience here in years gone past might have changed. Happily my fears were unfounded as both the food and wine were as good as ever! The menu is varied, all food is freshly prepared and served in generous portions, whilst the wine list is as impressive as it is good value for money. Service is typically Andalusian, prompt and helpful without undue fuss or frills, and the ambience is warm and friendly. I heartily recommend this eatery to anyone visiting this beautiful city and the bewitching environment of Santa Cruz. I will be back!

One of the best places to visit in Seville. I am a frequent visitor to Seville and fully recommend a visit to this out of the way establishment. The bar is staffed buy limited English speaking staff, friendly and menus written in full English. The bar offers an array of wines beers and shorts including the must try ( vino Naranja). Although located beside a busy road and drive through car park, do not let the location put you off visiting as it is the food that is the star of the show. Eat inside in fully air conditioned environment or sit out in the Seville sunshine under the umbrellas of San telmo. The portions of typical Spanish tapas (with a twist) are larger than average, attention to detail with the food and the second to none quality of sevice make this a must visit place if visiting the real Alcazar. Walk through the pretty streets past the tourist bars and restaurants, through the park filled with fountains and free flying parrots, you walk into a beautifully back street square complete with church over the road behind the castle sits "vineria SanTelmo". On several occasions before and since the pandemic I have visited the bar, sitting to watch the world go by, very affordable and very, very , very good food. Oh and beautifully Sangria.

Monday night. Just as we got to the door, a couple were leaving. We didn’t have a reservation. We got the only empty table in the place. Table #9, in the corner by the window. They have a very extensive wine list. My companion opted for the Albariño, Sin Palabras. The owner suggested that I try one from Cigales, a Concejo. He gave me a taste and I went with it. It went very well with the food. (What I was impressed with, when I got the bill, was that this wine was probably among the cheapest on the list. He was not trying to upsell me - and he has now won a new customer for Cigales wines, which I hadn’t heard of before.) We had a tapa of jamon iberico to start and then the seafood and pasta tapa for my companion. I had a tapa of filet steak. Each dish was delicious, but the steak was one of the best I’ve tasted. The place was packed indoors and out. We reserved a table for the following night - Table #9, of course. Tuesday night. The town is way less busy that last night, but indoors, San Telmo is packed again. We order the jamon iberico again and we both had the filet steak. Same wines as last night. (When I checked the wine list, the Concejo was not listed as available by the glass. I mentioned to the waiter that I had had it the previous evening. No problem, he produced a glass.) We’ve been driving around Andalusia for over a week and we have had some delicious meals. But this tops the lot. By miles. And the service is excellent, engaging and friendly. We leave Seville tomorrow. Otherwise, I would have reserved Table #9 again for tomorrow night. And you already know what I would order.

The best restaurant in Sevilla. A friend recommended me this place and I was so enchanted of the délicatesse of the dishes, especially the seafood spaghetti. The products were fresh, fine and the cooking perfect. The homemade sangria was incredible. I came a second time during my stay and I ordered the spaghetti two times and I hesitated to have a third one.

We, only by luck, got into this terrific restaurant. The owner was kind and determined enough to give us two seats at the bar. He proceeded to lead us through a fabulous array of delicious foods with wine pairings. The variety and quality was excellent. The atmosphere casual with the owner being attentive, interesting and interested. Serious about food. Different than many of the restaurants in Seville that offer the same, rather mediocre, food, this place is special. Assorted types of croquettes, oxtail, pork and ending in a decadent chocolate dessert. The wines are high quality and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I ordered some sangria and 3 tapas. The hummus was amazing and presented beautifully. The manchego is delicious. However I ordered a shrimp salad with apples and cheese. The salad apples and cheese or great but the shrimp smelled and tasted a little off. Also the shrimp was not deveined, So I ended up not eating it. It was only 20e for everything which I think was a good deal. The wait staff were friendly and they do not bother you unless you call for them by nodding your head or a small wave.

We just had the best tapas so far during our trip at Vineria San Telmo! Many places will offer you average tapas and high prices for tourists!! Once you try this place, you will understand why this restaurant is different. We ordered a dozen of dishes and one after the other, we kept on saying how delicious everything was! Even my kids loved everything. My son ordered the “Plum” pork and said it was the best pork he has ever had. It was moist and the most tender!! He ordered an additional plate of it; that is how much he loved it! He also tried many food for the first time tonight (he usually is a picky eater). So please, do yourself a favor and go there! Jean and his staff are great and the food so delectable and fresh! Tonight, I feel like like I had tapas that were up to my expectations in Sevilla.

We stopped by at 10 for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant was open until 11:30 so we thought we'd have plenty of time. We sat inside. There were 3 other tables with people eating. A waiter eventually dropped off a menu but ran off before we could ask for a wine list. We finally got a wine list and waited awhile until a different waiter took our wine order. Then we waited until a waitress came by to take our food order. By this point, the other tables had left, so it was not as if the wait staff was busy. They just couldn't be bothered. The hummus with pita was good, but it came with a side of wilted brown celery. We tried to ask for fresh celery but we were ignored. When the waitress brought the rest of the food, she asked if we wanted anything else from the kitchen. At that point, we had just been served and we didn't know if we'd have room for dessert so we said no. Our food was good, but we couldn't enjoy it because it was clear they just wanted us to hurry up and leave. At 10:45, they started closing up the restaurant. Someone rolled the trash bin right past our table and out the front door, then back past our table to the kitchen. Then they started moving tables and stacking up chairs so they could make space in the middle of the dining room to bring in the umbrellas from the terrace. The noise from dragging heavy umbrellas past our table got so bad that I asked the waitress if the restaurant was closing early. She said they close at 11:30. It was only 11 and we told her we were trying to finish our food and wine in peace. She finally yelled at someone to stop dragging the umbrellas past our table. We asked for the check, which was brought quickly. Otherwise the service was slow and inattentive. I'm giving this a poor instead of terrible, only because the food was good. I have been to Sevilla many times, and I have never had such an awful dining experience.

We had dinner here last night and I got the cold tomato soup and tortilla. Both were nice. My friend had a salad which was good and some tasty iberico ham. The only disappointing thing was the sangria which was very sweet and not particularly boozy. The wine was better though.

We have been to Vineria repeatedly since first trying the breakfast menu a month ago. Everything we ordered was outrageous!!! I can't decide if the smoked salmon on a bagel is the best I've ever had! The creative menu is diverse (uncommon in Sevilla) and features fresh ingredients in a beautiful outdoor terrace. Coffee, juice and smoothies are beautiful. This is by far the best breakfast menu in Sevilla.

Our waiter Juan Franco set the tone! He was excellent and made great suggestions. It can sometimes feel intimidating in a different country and managing mid Spanish but he was so friendly and helpful (with both menu suggestions and my Spanish!) we sat outside and it was a beautiful night- the setting isn’t great with a parking garage entrance right there as well as a busy street (don’t get engaged here) but the food and service and a further view of the park made up for it. Felt local and comfortable. Delicious salmorejo, sea bass, wine and cheese. Gracias!

We came to this restaurant for lunch with high expectations especially in regards to their wines. I must say we expected more. The menu seemed in my opinion geared too much to tourists. The quality of the food was not on par with other restaurants we had dined at in the region. There were a few items worth mentioning such as the sweetbreads with mashed potatoes which were tasty and the huevos rotos with ham which was good overall, except one of the eggs was way overcooked.

Hi, sorry that we did not meet your expectations, we are very happy with the quality of the food we served, and it has been like that for more than 18 years, I understand that no everybody feels that way; however, I have to be very happy that most of our costumers feel the way we feel. I am glad you liked our eggs and if it was overcooked, we could have change that if we were aware of that. Hope to see you again and get you a perfect fried egg!! BR, JMT

We sought out this restaurant again having eaten here multiple times in 2015. As good as remembered! We had squid ink pasta, oxtail in a pastry, salmon on leeks and a steak. All delicious and hot. As per other reviews, staff were indifferent and stood around talking to each other. I suggest looking past this.... ask for what you want, and you won't be disappointed with the meal.
