This bar is in a square in the higher area of the Albacin. Excellent friendly service, good tapas, all in the sunshine--- welcome in January. We spent a lovely couple of hours chatting and relaxing and were made welcome. Popular with locals.
Set in a small square amongst several other restaurants ; this one stands out as it is the most popular. Wine by the glass (E3) is of a good quality and generous in size. Ours was accompanied (tapas) by a delightful potato and fish pate...in addition to green olives. The Bull Tail Stew ( E11) was flavoursome and promoted as one of the house specialities. The calamari was as good as I have had anywhere (except for Simply Tops Townsville) and was a substantial serving. In all our years of travel this is the only time we have eaten at the same restaurant for three nights in a row!! Highly Recommended.More
went here for lunch on a long walk from sacremanto back to town.... the waitress was so attentive and served us very quickly. the croquettes were wonderful - 9 good sized, very tasty. they filled us up for the rest of the day its in...a very relaxing spot. we just sat outside for a while and watched the world go by wonderfulMore
Our hotel recommended this place which is located right down the street. We had just arrived and it was late in the day. A good choice. In this little square, there was 4 small restaurants. We ordered one of the salad dishes and it was...good. It had tuna, cheese, carrots, kiwi, avocados, tomatoes, and small greens. It was good. We had the chicken with almond sauce and french fries which was pretty good. Almost like good old home cooking and we also had the grilled halibut with poor mans potatoes (sliced boiled potatoes). This was very tasty. We had a bottle of water, 3 glasses of wine ad the total was 42.00 Euros. This was pretty reasonable for all of the food that you get.More
We went the day before for lunch at a different restaurant in the square - not worth a return. El Yunque was great - the food was good - the staff was super friendly. Worth a meal here for sure.
Wonderful plates, very good and really cheap. The waitress is very nice and professional. The best fries fish of ever.
We had lunch here after our visit to the Alhambra. This is a lovely little bar in the square of the church of San Miguel Bajo. The waitress who served us was very nice and friendly. We ordered vermút to start and it came in...a big glass. It was so good that we ordered another one afterwards! For our meal we had jamon serrano which was delicious and it melted in our mouths, and a selection of croquettes (with ham, with spinach and goat cheese and blood sausage), which were also very good and freshly made. We really enjoyed everything and the price was great!More
Nearly finished me off climbing up to this place but the views along the way were amazing! This friendly little cafe is in a square opposite a beautiful little church. We ordered sangria and they were fabulous! Really tasty, huge and full of fruit. The...food was also delicious. There’s a little bus that stops in the square if you can’t face the climb.More
On our last day we decided not to travel far from our house and had looked at this restaurant previously and it was really good value. Between the four of us we had the grilled prawns, a chicken curry and two salads all of which...were very good and not to expensive. Overall a very pleasant end to a great holidayMore
The host of my accommodation recommend me this restaurant. I was in Granada during Oct 12-14 and Oct 12 was a Spain national day celebrating Christopher Columbus.. Not easy to make dinner reservations and we were there a bit earlier. It was near the San...Miguel Church in Albayzin area and view was nice..we ordered Sangria, Salad, bull tail, mixed grill of fish and shellfish.. It was more than enough for two of us and the food was really delicious.. I tried ox tail in Cordoba and the taste was little bit different but bull tail of this restaurant was very nice. grilled fish and squid was also nice.. Price was reasonable and we enjoyed dinner very much.. Be there and you will be satisfied about quality and price.. Really good restaurant...More
We were initially unsure about this place but went back once the hotel told us how great it was. We ordered drinks, which came with a tapa and then ordered some larger raciones from the menu. Three between two of us was more than enough...(although, unfortunately, this did not leave space for dessert). The boquerones/ anchovies were delicious, as were the habas con jamon/ broad beans with ham. We paid about €35 for three raciones and two drinks, more than enough for dinner. Staff were really friendly. Nice sitting in the square, watching the world go by.More
Everything was right about this great little restaurant. After 3 meals there in 2 days, I feel authorised to say it is a fantastic eatery!! Set in a small plaza overlooked by a church, this calm but alive space is home to 5 restaurants. Buskers...occasionally perform which adds atmosphere as well. The setting is great. The service is so friendly and such fun and made our visits here very special. The drinks choices are excellent and the food is magnificent. We have had the best salad I’ve ever eaten - Yunque salad. When it arrived I was sceptible (as it includes kiwi fruit and apple) but it was fresh, healthy and delicious. My partner adored the perfectly cooked grilled lamb chops with delicious poor-style potatoes. At other sittings we had the mixed grilled seafood (bbq flavour = delicious and tender), the bull tail (rich and flavoursome), fried squid (big tasty serve, perfectly cooked) and grilled big squid (more bbq heaven). We cannot fault any dish and it’s all so cheap as well. Free yummy tapas when you order drinks as well! We tried two desserts - flan with caramel and cream cheese with quince and walnuts...both delicious but the latter = spectacular, different. This is now one of our favourite restaurants anywhere in the world! If you want real local food cooked well, served by real local people in a real local setting, go here! The little red C31 bus from the town brings you up the hill in a few minutes and drops you right at the restaurant for €1.40. The stop is San Miguel Bajo.More
We had the mixed fish grill and Tuna Tataki salad. Both were done to perfection. So so affordable and amazing food! Really lovely wine too!
We went here on Friday evening. It’s in a little square and was just along from our hotel. The restaurant had no other customers when we arrived, but within half an hour or so it was buzzing! The waitress was very pleasant and quickly brought...us drinks and complimentary tapas. She was working alone and managed to cope really well even when all the tables were taken slightly later in the evening. The white wine was delicious and a generous measure and the beer too. The food was good and what I would describe as obviously home made and tasty. It’s a nice little place to sit and relax and to soak up the atmosphere of a typical little Spanish square and was one of our most pleasant evenings spent in this lovely city. Recommended.More
