Wonderful meal in a delightful restaurant located in the Paradore at the Alhambra palace. Prices were refreshingly reasonable after the high price of a room here ! Largely a very traditional menu based on local historic dishes- Habbas to start with served with curpy jamon...and onions. So full.of flavour and different textures. Their roast suckling pig - Cochinillo- was wonderful. Much better than I have had in restaurants in .Madrid. Very traditional desert - Pionono- Originally made in Santa Fe- a small town close to Granada airport. Just wonderful. Excellent meal, reasonably priced given location and quality. Effcient service tho rather formal.More

We visited the hotel for a couple of nights shortly after lockdown had been lifted in July, and ate all our meals at the hotel. At that time all meals were taken on the terrace of the cafeteria which is delightfully situated next to the...gardens. Both the cafeteria menu and the restaurant menu have a generous selection and reasonably priced. Reflecting the historical location there were a number of dishes with Arabic influences as well as several local specialties. The wine list had a good, varied selection and again included a number of local wines. In total we had two lunches and two dinners each and each one was perfectly cooked and presented. Service was excellent, friendly and professional. We would not hesitate to eat there again next time we visit the Alhambra.More

Amazing setting and super food, gorgeous local wine and fantastic service. Attentive waitress, food arrived quickly with decent portion sizes and excellent flavours. Recommend garlic prawns and croquettes. Perfect lunch spot

We have been to every Parador in Spain and have a total of 124 Nights at Paradors - every time with dinner at their restaurant. I think that very few have to same record! Still we have a feeling of beeing treated as being a..."load" to the staff - both at the restaurant and at the hotel! This time we also had lunch at this restaurant. This hotel and this restaurant pretent to be high class and have set their prices according to this. The meny in this restaurant is not better than at any of the other Paradors and is just avarage. We see no reason to stay at this hotel another time because of their restaurant. I think that you easily will find far better options in Granada and at the same time save a lot of money!More

Stopped here for lunch during our visit to Alhambra. The food was acceptable but the service was pretty bad. The wait staff seemed to be incredibly over-stretched — all the tables around us were trying to get their attention to no avail — and in...the end, we gave up trying to order a second glass of wine as it was impossible to get the attention of the wait staff. Getting our bill was equally difficult. We had considered staying in this property while we in Granada and based on our lunch experience in the restaurant I have to say that I m glad we didn’t. A hotel that is charging close to $400 a night shouldn’t have service like this in their restaurant for any reason.More

We sat on the terrace of the Parador de San Francisco's restaurant for a quick lunch in between a walk through the Alhambra. It was an unusual day as it was the 1st of January and supposedly 1 of only 2 days in the year...(the other being Christmas Day) that the Alhambra is closed. People still walk around when the Alhambra is shut, so it certainly wasn't quiet but there weren't the heaving numbers we saw the next day when we actually visited. Paradors are state-run luxury hotels owned and run by the Spanish Government, so we weren't sure what we were going to get ... "State-run" doesn't always give a person expecting good service the most confidence. We got a seat immediately - at the terrace with a really lovely view of the Generalife. As it was a New Year's Day, it was busy with Spanish families. Wanted something simple so ordered 3 tapas dishes to share. Quality was good - we had a bean stew, some croquetas and an ajo blanco. We enjoyed all dishes. Service was not effusive, but we managed to call for it when needed - we were mainly served by an older gent who wasn't rude, but not friendly either. We could see some people have trouble getting attention. One even had to go up to the bar to order and then settle the bill. After paying up, we stayed and walked through the gardens of the hotel ... very pretty. The main restaurant looked really good too but we didn't have the time to return during the rest of our stay in Granada.More

We had a very good simple lunch here, whilst visiting the Alhambra. A great view from the terrace and well placed within the Alhambra complex. Not overpriced for where it was, so a good place all round.

Unfortunately my wife was sick in bed so I ate my meals by myself here. Everything was very good. Breakfast was good to. Dinner was special.

After a 3 hour long tour of the Alhambra, we felt the need to decompress and complete the experience with a nice meal. Our guide had pointed out the entrance when we walked by. So at the end of our guided tour we trekked back...for lunch. It was so unexpected. Behind the discreet entrance door to the restaurants, we found an elegant dining room. My husband ordered the sea bass while I ordered the cochinillo (roast suckling pig). The cochinillo had a thin crispy skin served on top of the very tender pork and vegetables and a fresh salad. We were served complimentary starters of a thick mung bean soup. The food was excellent and if not for a slight hiccup in the service, I would have given it a 5 star rating.More

Our Andalusian NYT farewell trip dinner put me in a magical time and place. The food was Andalusian Cuisine at it modern best-small finger plated bites that were all excellent and freshly prepared and quickly served since we were still in a chilly patio but...breathing fresh Andalusian air. We were served Five (5) superb courses that the chef and his staff prepared for this "Time and Ago" feast. Our servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you management for making this trip and dinner so memorable for my Wife and myself.More
