Loved the atmosphere. Tapas simple but great, beer nice and cold, wine very good, some local specialities. Staff is fast (if they remember your order). Recommend a glass of something at the bar rather than sitting at a table.

We visit GRANADA last May and had a dinner there at BODEGAS DE CASTAÑEDA upon the recommendations of our local friends. It worth for money , authentic and tasty very helpful people. A bit touristic but locals eats there..

If you want an authentic Spanish dining experience then this is the place to go! No frills, extremely busy restaurant serving tasty Spanish dishes. The waiters are normally rushed off their feet so don't count on a dedicated one-to-one type experience. There is a huuuuuuge selection of wines (good value) and the menu is pretty varied, I definitely recommend the... More

The place was really full when we arrived, which is in my opinion a very good sign. We ordered half portion of cured meat, half portion of cheese and one tapas of Roquefort with anchovies. While waiting for our plates, we received some paella as appetizer and it was very nice. Cured meat was awesome (one of the best I... More

The food quality and presentation was good as was the service. This is where TA excels as this bar/restaurant just looks like any other, off pitch down a side street.

Every once in a while you step into a little world of magic! Bodegas Castaneda is one of those places I expected to find in Spain - hams hanging from the ceiling, wine in barrels and satisfied customers paper napkins thrown on the floor (apparently a sign of good food!). While in Granada for 3 nights we spent to 2... More

Had some of the best tapas ever at this restaurant! We had to wait for a table since it was during Feria Granada, and the place was packed with locals. A very good sign! We ordered the assorted charcuterie plate but could have ordered everything on the menu! Fabulous food and a great typical bar/ restaurant. Cannot wait to go... More

Typically 1 tapas per round of drinks here. Everything was pretty good, with the bocadillo with jamon, and salpicon standing out from memory. Decent prices, not the cheapest but reasonable, around 1.7 for a cana or 2-3 for copa de tinto. Very classic decor and filled with an equal amount of locals and tourists. Very close to Plaza Santa Ana... More

We really enjoyed our two meals here. We had tapas at lunchtime in the bar and it really is a piece of old Spain, full of local people enjoying a traditional tapas lunch. The place doesn't seem to have changed in years and the decor is old school and all the better for it. We also had dinner on the... More
