We could not have picked a better spot in Granada for dinner and ringing in the New Year.
Our host and his staff at
this lovely Moroccan restaurant treated us to amazing hospitality!
We enjoyed an appetizer medley with fluffy pita bread followed by briquettes of filo filled with chicken and with seafood.
We then had lamb tagine and chicken tagine. The sauces were flavorful and delicious.
This was followed by a chocolate dessert and the Moroccan mint tea.
A belly dancer arrived around 11:30 to entertain the packed restaurant.
The staff then distributed party favors and the “12 grapes” Spanish NYE midnight tradition.
We counted down to midnight with our host and the staff.
Such a fun night of hospitality, conviviality and fine food!

Wonderful Moroccan food with vegetarian possibilities. Our group had chicken tagine, beef with raisins and nuts, and rice with vegetables. All were very good. The man who seated us seemed to speak every language that was spoken to him. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming.

I had better Moroccan cooking here than in many places in Morocco itself. There’s a good choice of salads, soups, tajines and more, with some delicious desserts to follow. Try the refreshing house lemon and mint drink with your food. This well-run family restaurant prides itself on the quality and consistency of its food, which is reasonably priced. The decor, ambience and service make for a memorable evening.

This restaurant is a gem. The food is amazing and Mustafa and his daughter are simply wonderful hosts who make you feel completely at home - which makes the food even more delicious than it already is. If you are staying in the Albaicin, this restaurant is a must try.

Mustafa generously greeted us at the door and immediately acknowledged my earlier reservation call - personable & engaging. He quickly memorized our names and throughout the evening made pleasant comments infused with humor as well.
I requested that Mustafa assist us with ordering which he performed efficiently and with gentle probing for appetite level and preferences. Excellent balance of customer care, hosting and backdrop oversight without interference.
The appetizers were a variety of mixed hummus, baba, tazi and pastilles; dinner choices were chicken with lemon & olive oil and lamb with dates and almonds + basmati rice.
It was a combination of flavors and mouth watering taste bud sensations.
I highly recommend this place.

This had come up as one of the best Moroccan restaurants in Granada and our guide for the day also recommended it as well.
We had a late booking as we had done a night tour of the city.
We were greeted by friendly staff and ordered the fresh house lemonade ( no alcohol obviously at this establishment), it was very refreshing .
We started with the mezze , hummus , chopped salad , aubergine salad , pepper salad and tzatiki , with fresh bread very nice.
TWE hen we had a vegetable tanging ( a simple dish just flavoured vegetables no couscous ) and rather spiced fish tanging , a sea bream nicely spiced with potatoes peppers and courgettes , most enjoyable, the drinks were refilled without charge .
A very nice meal

Were here for dinner on a Saturday evening based on research and recommendations. Food is authentic and locally made. Restaurant is a family business which is why the hung attention to detail.
We commenced with the Babaganoush which flavor-wise was deeper and more enriching than many we have had Stateside. The Chicken Briouat was fantastic in phyllo pastry triangle. The taste was deeply satisfying. We followed this with Lamb Tagine with Prunes, Apricots, and Almonds. Lamb was tender and lean. Portion was not huge, in fact just the right amount. The Arab Bread was warm and fresh. We tried a sampling of Moroccan pastries with the two Baklava’s far superior in our opinion to the others.
The one ‘disappointing’ fact was being charged $1.50 for a second glass of lemonade. A little ‘classless’. Food was great, would recommend and return.

Absolutely delicious evening meal. We had the 2 person salad taster, chicken briwat, and lamb with vegetables tagine. The house lemonade con mint and Moroccan tea were also tasty.
Finally the service was fantastic. They had a couple of people call in and not come to work tonight, but we would have never known if our server had not let us know. She was highly efficient and covering everything. Wonderful, thank you!

The food we ordered was excellent and felt like a reward after an exhilarating day of walking through several historical, lovely Granada neighborhoods. We had hummus, harira soup, chicken and vegetable tajine, Arab salad, chicken skewers with rice and vegetables. All delicious. The really special part of our dining experience was the wonderfully friendly visit with the owner, who exuded warmth and humor and even spoke an authentic pronunciation of Wisconsin, our home state. Fluent in many languages, he is someone who believes in putting positive vibes into the world. Definitely visit this place if you can.

Very welcoming and the owner and staff made sure we were attended to with respect and a positive mindset. Our food was amazing. Chicken skewers, hummus and bread, salad and rice were prepared just right. The owner and his wife and main waiter were over the top. They worked together flawlessly. Timing of courses were ideal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Mint tra and desserts from Tangier. Very delicious. From Minnesota Nice Couple.

Delicious food in a lovely setting. Fantastic Morrocan dishes—I ate a lamb tajine with almonds , dried apricots and prunes, my husband had a puff pastry filled with fish and seafood. The Arabian salad was wonderful, as was a salad of carrots and oranges. The owner and servers couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming.

Before traveling to Granada, we researched top rated Moroccan restaurants in Granada, and the results took us to Los Arreyanes. Once you entered the place, you experience the Moroccan culture and atmosphere. Waiters were extraordinary and very informative.

Setting aside the ghastly cheap decor and flimsy tables and chairs this alcohol free tourist trap seems to be outstanding only in its ability to game its reviews. Had meze selection, traditional soup, pastilla and lamb couscous. No flavor or bitter, soup was gulag gruel, pastilla was dry and tepid and more lamb bones than meat dumped on warm couscous. Every single dish went back after a first taste.
You know a restaurant knows you're onto them when they don't even ask why.
For reference we love Moroccan cuisine and have enjoyed it from Paris to Rabat.
Avoid.

I have dined at this restaurant 8-9 times now spanning several visits in Granada. The Morccan cuisine they offer incl. couscous, rice w/Lamb, various soups and the desserts are delicious. The restaurant is located at the base on the Albaicin neighborhood and easily reachable from Plaza Nueva. The owners Mustafa & Ibrahim and very friendly and so is the entire staff. Whenever I am in Granada, I make sure to stop at this place for a hearty meal.

Service was friendly and efficient. Several dishes were quite good (couscous with chicken, onions, raisins; salad sampler; lemonade with mint) but others just average (lamb tangine, chicken skewers) or strange (Mediterranean salad with pineapple, corn, and hard boiled egg?). The setting has festive decor ( except for the nonstop animal movie and spa-like music we found distracting.)
