We love tapas. It's great if you fancy just picking at different dishes when you're not too hungry and usually good value wine. Bar El Estrecho is tucked down a narrow back street in lovely old Town - you might need a map to find it or just wander around until you do. The night we went in January it... More

Dropped in here at the suggestion of our hotel. Lovey original bar servicing good wine & beer at very cheap prices - €2.10 for a huge glass of cava. Uncomfortable chairs resulted in us not staying for tapas. Looked good though.

Ate here three times over the course of a week in Marbella, twice for lunch and once for dinner. Over the three visits tried almost every tapas on offer. Everything was very good and the prices represent great value for the quality of food. Highly recommended!!!

If this tapa bar had a sun Terrace it would be 10 out of 10. However the tapas are delicious in three sizes: Tapa, half Ration, full ration . Try the yummy greasy baby squid (chipirones) shrimp in garlic spicy oil(Gambians Pil Pil ) Ropa vieja which is an ancient version of humus - roasted pepper salad is a classic.... More

What a wonderful tapas bar located in Old Town Marbella. You may need your GPS to find it in the small alleyways of Old Town but it definitely worth it. Small and friendly. There is a lot to choose from at a nominal price. Afterwards wander the Old Town to get a true feeling of moorish Spain. 10 euro taxi... More

Good variety of genuine tapas. Stuffed eggs were excellent, fresh octopus, lovely stuffed peppers. Great value and terrific atmosphere. There was not a seat to be had by 8.00pm - says it all!

Down an atmospheric alley filled with tapas bars, this was obviously the most popular and with good reason. Lots of local people enjoying their lunch break as well as tourists.Served by a very helpful young man who took care to double check the safety of our coeliac friends choice of tapas. We started with the dish of the day which... More

Initially we hadn't intended to go to Marbella during our trip to Andalucia, for which already had a busy four days planned. But one evening we decided to go there for dinner as it was closer than Malaga. Having seen El Estrecho's recommended in one of our guide books we thought we would give it a try and we are... More

So I am not sure what all the raves are for. The food is just average. The place is just average. The beer was good, but over-all the four of us failed to see the 4.5 rating.
