Easy place - relaxed place - good food - friendly staff - good prices - big portions. Not the place for the big celebrations - but for a bit to eat its ok.

El Gaucho was a small Argentinean Restaurant on the back street in the Port Banus that had great steaks and meat. Sadly this restaurant closed down. This El Gaucho has the same name but not close to the old ones (even though the Head Waitress told us they had some of the cooks from the old place!). Being in Port... More

Perfect location (at Puerto Banus Marina) from where to enjoy people-watching from this Argentinian Steakhouse with a wide menu choice. Although our steaks were 'good' they were not fabulous or as memorable as the bill……………I guess you're paying for the location, rather than the food!! Service was good (friendly and efficient) but was it worth the cost - Probably Not………..!!

This Argentinian Steakhouse is in an ideal location on the promenade along the Marina. Chose a table inside as it was a quite breezy evening. The menu was very good with a great choice of meat. We had steaks which were excellent and large portions. If you like black pudding this is a must to try. Washed it down with... More

The food was excellent, so was the service, but quite expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. Summarised, it was anyway worth it.

We dined in this restaurant on a Wednesday evening in late June. We were delighted to be able to reserve a table overlooking the Marina, little did we know however that the restaurant simply was neither busy nor popular - the reservations book was empty at 4pm! When we arrived for the meal, the Front of House was, frankly, rude... More

Had our final meal of the week here and sadly a big disappointment. Think we were served by 5 different people, starter and dessert went missing, dessert never found! Steak was a very poor cut of meat. Facilities poor, no paper. Shame as staff all very friendly and energetic.

We ate here as a hen party of 9 on our Final night. We booked earlier in the day for a table outside but when we got there our table had been given to the wrong group, however they opened a bottle of Moët for us to apologise and seated us inside the restaurant. Waitresses were very attentive & took... More

Stopped here during a Stag Do looking for some proper food! Great Argentinian Steaks and great Live Music from Los Lobos or was it the Doritos Band!?

We were a group of 4 pax for dinner , it took 5 attempts for 3 different waiters to get a vodka and soda right , we spoke in Spanish also . The house wine was off and taste awful. Next I had a bottle of tonic thrown all over me with a feeble apology " sorry lady " ice... More
