About
This emblematic wine cellar built in an old house from the 18th century is a meeting place for people of all ages. It has welcomed many generations of artists, flamenco dancers or politicians. It is named after formerly popular city figures called 'los pimpis', young people who had helped ship crews or passengers and had become the first city guides. It is furnished in the style of Malaga, and offers local wines and delicious gastronomy which is very popular in the city. The soul of the restaurant is the lounge with the vintage wine barrels, signed by famous people, such as the family Picasso, the painter Barcelo, the bullfighter Cordobes, The Duchess of Alba, Carmen Thyssen and Antonio Banderas,

No visit to Malaga would be complete without visiting this amazing place in the heart of Malaga. So good to be back! You can choose what you want. Outside, formal or informal. It’s a bit of a labyrinth. I love the side bar. Superb wine...and tapas. The rabo de toro is seriously tasty. Especially when paired with a red wine or virgin malaga sweet wine. Professional and very friendly service. On the house moscatel with the bill was a nice touch.More

Rude staff. Below average tapas. Zero effort. Would recommend you avoid if at all possible. Plenty of much better options.

Very popular, extremely busy. Nice tapas. Russian & Malaga salads below local average, but prawns & croquettes were good. Service quite ok but not enough staff for huge amount of guests.

Soo busy! I went at 1pm. You have to queue. I got put in a small room, music blasting away. Food took ages to come. Minimum price for a bottle of red wine was 15 euros. Food was OK. I came here because of the...atmosphere and reviews by Spanish friends. The reality is that on a Saturday lunch time all of these central bars and restaurants will be heaving with people. It just wasn't the experience I expected.More

What a disappointing experience. Rudest staff I’ve ever come across. Literally threw the food on the table when you could actually attract their attention. We had a reservation and it took 10 mins to find someone to find our table, with one surly waiter after...another saying it was nothing to do with them. Forget asking questions about the menu - they can’t be bothered. Had to ask for bread - which was stale - and then had to ask for olive oil or some butter. Again the waiter threw a tiny plastic bottle at us and walked off. Place is fabulous and they are clearly cashing in on that because there’s absolutely nothing else to recommend it. First time ever I’ve not left a tip - I’m not rewarding people for rubbish service. Plenty of other good places in Malaga - go and have a look but go and eat and drink where they actually appreciate your custom.More

There are many places that are 10 times better. We went with 7 coworkers and were dissapointed. The staff is rude and the food isn’t any good. I would look for a different tapas restaurant.More

One of the most amazing bars in Malaga. Unique and huge interior, very cozy. They also have typical wine from Malaga (very sweet and strong)

Lovely surroundings, but pretty average food and indifferent service. One of our main courses came once the other main course had been finished which spoiled the experience. I’d love to love it, but it was disappointing
