I can really recommend the excellent restaurant. The food is delicious. We shared all the dishes, and everyone in the party was very satisfied with the food. All the waiters were very friendly and professional.

Excellent find - really great setting with a delicious menu. Everything we chose was really good and a wide range of options to accommodate a pescatarian. Staff were very friendly too!

- [ ] Deplorable behaviour on an evening that began wonderfully. A complaint was made when a full unaltered bill arrived after beer spilled and a glass smashed all over my friends head, clothes, iphones and three meals. The situation was handled pathetically with a...cocktail and beer brought out unnecessarily and unasked for, but to top it off a can of deodorant was left on the table for my for my friend to disguise the smell of beer from his body! Absolutely disgusting and degrading behaviour from a restaurant that was highly recommended to our family. When questioned on their approach and the bill the manager threatened to call the police, honestly I’m beyond words. To behave like this in front of a 15,12 and 10 year old child or even at all is not just completely substandard it’s pathetic and shame on El Mesón de Cervantes.More

4 adults and 3 teenage children for dinner and we really enjoyed the first course although one of the childrens meals did not arrive till everyone else had finished their second course. These things happen so no real drama, however during the serving of the...second course, a waiter dropped a full pint of beer on my head and the beer rolled down my clothes and over three of the meals and two iPhones. The phones were fine, the food was not returned because children were already anxious to move on… then started a string of stupid platitudes with unwanted cocktails and huge beers sent to the ladies. The manageress advised that she would not charge for one of the half portions of steak which really infuriated us all. Anyway, when we went to pay the bill of around 250 euro she offered us such a paltry reduction that things became heated when the guy that dropped the beer stressed that this was an everyday experience - he even gave me a can of deodorant to hide the smell of beer from me and my daughter. He meant well but should not have been allowed engage an entire family with what quickly became aggressive shouting and posturing. We offered to pay a reduced bill taking 25 euro off but actually ended up paying what the manager had asked us for despite feeling really disappointed on many levelsMore

Based on earlier reviews we ordered 2 dishes at time to avoid rush, and sampled altogether 6 different 1/2 portions (tuna, risotto, iberico, duck breast, shrimps and squid) which were all wonderful. We had an enjoyable experience, and the place is definitely on our list...for revisiting.More

Great food and service. My husband and I ordered 6 half portions to share which was plenty. Lots of wine options and the chocolate mousse dessert was to die for. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were all just sooooo lovely, really helpful when we were making our choices, very attentive throughout, despite the restaurant being really busy. A more upmarket tapas restaurant, but so worth it, the quality of everything was excellent.

Incredibly efficient. It's one of those places that will tell you what to eat and drink before you even get there. Pretty much everything we tried was top of the line and I'd suggest trying the local wine, which I've added as a picture. Superb!...And especially well priced given its Vivino rating. All I'd say is don't order too much as it's very filling and you can always order more. The wild boar stew and Argentinan steak are also just okay. Stick to classic Spanish tapas (plus the mushrooms) and you can't go wrong.More

We have eaten here before so knew it was good. We were seated in an area towards the back of restaurant which was very comfortable. Between 4 we shared various dishes including- prawns, meatballs, blood sausage, beef and a few others. Nice choice of wine....Staff friendly and helpful.More

It is a nice restaurant & the food is good. What I did not like is the lack of transparency concerning the pricing. The Gin-Tonic is not on the price list (14 euro). the wine the waitress suggested was not priced per glass (12 euro)....Both were tasty, but were “high” priced compared to the rest of the menu. When the bill came, the waitress made sure we knew that the service was not included (printed on the bill). FYl: We went to 7 other restaurants before this & service was always included - I wondered if locals were "treated" in the same way? It spoiled the experience for me.More

We were looking for dinner, somewhere typically Spanish, but found a lot of nearby restaurants were offering a confused menu of Spanish, pizza and american items We were looking for something more traditional. As i looked at the various menus on offer the Sweetbreads at...the Cervantes caught my eye and i thought it worth a closer look All their menu us offered in ‘Ration’ size or in 1/2 Ration With this in mind and the advice from the wait staff to chose maybe 5 or 6 1/2 rations between the two of we made our choices of Grilled octopus, duck breast, sweetbreads and lamb stew. us all were excellent. The restaurant has an interesting wine menu with more choice than the standard. All in all a good mealMore

dont get me wrong, the food here is good, but when you change a tapas restaurnt to a sharing restaurant, you are bound to have issues. instead of having the excellent choices of tapas weve enjoyed for years, we were shocked to see a menu...with only serveral tapas choices, instead we were told its now "half portions" for 2 to share.... great, but when one of you is veggie/vegan and the other is a meat eater, then you end up NOT having a tapas experience. we'll not rush there again unless it changes and im sure other non-meat eaters will find alternative places too.More

We’ve been here a good number of times and never been disappointed. It’s a really popular place, with good reason, so it can be a bit noisy, but the food’s well worth it. Few Chang’s to the menu in the 20 years or so we’ve...been coming here; we guess they reckon why change a winning formula. We agree. Service is quick and as we’ve always ordered tapas each dish comes when it’s ready, which is great for us. Tonight’s choices were cod-stuffed peppers and tuna tataki for Jenny (beautifully presented), a shared spinach asparagus cherry tomato walnut and Parmesan salad to share, goats cheese and artichoke quiche for me and a platter of grilled mushrooms, asparagus and artichokes to share too, with a salty green pesto sauce. All delicious, all a treat to look at, and in a characterful setting where we were as usual made warmly welcome. Check it out for yourself - you’ll not be disappointed.More
