Went here last year when we visited Malaga and enjoyed it so much we had to go back, and yet again we were not disappointed! Meat platter and drinks for 3 €90,when we had finished eating he gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which...was actually really nice, a big slice of delicious chocolate gateau and a gorgeous fruit platter, we spent about 2 1/2 hours here and didn’t feel rushed, in fact it was the exact opposite we could’ve sat there for hours watching the world go by and wouldn’t have felt as though they wanted us to move. Our waiter Patricio was the loveliest, funniest guy, he brought the bill with a huge till receipt joking that we had spent so much lol, If you only go to one restaurant in Malaga then make it this one, honestly you won’t be disappointed and if you are then I don’t know what you’re looking for.More
Tomatoes and Ham to start; Meal platter for four. Steak skewers, Ox cheeks, Lamb chops, potatoes and salad. Drinks, plus a complimentary sweet. Superb food and great value! THe waiters were funny, friendly and attentive. Great last night for us!
Located in the old town Los Gatos is the perfect place to spend an evening watching the world go by. This popular venue is located close to many other establishments but you could really see the popularity of this restaurant. With an extensive menu you,...find something for everyone’s palate. Portions are of a good size and you fill not be leaving hungry.More
Got enticed into Los Gatos Lovely traditional restaurant, been here before, seated and waited and waited, not good! Spanish couple came in table for 2 next to us and got acknowledged and menu’s immediately. We just up and left …. Not a good way to...treat tourist !! Would not recommend with the amount of excellent Tapas bars in MalagaMore
"Los Catos" exudes a very Spanish and traditional ambiance, which immediately immerses you in the local culture. What stood out was the exceptional service provided by the adult male waitstaff; their professionalism and attentiveness truly elevated the dining experience. One of the highlights of the...evening was the eclectic mix of patrons, including both tourists and locals. The restaurant's ability to bring these diverse groups together created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. As an added bonus, the enchanting melodies of Julio Iglesias playing from the loudspeakers added a charming touch to the evening. As the night progressed, the energy in the restaurant soared, with the lively chatter of patrons making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. It was a fantastic experience to mingle with both locals and tourists, fostering a sense of unity among us all, regardless of whether we were sipping on beer, wine, or sangria. In summary, "Los Carlos" offers more than just delicious food; it provides an authentic Spanish experience that combines excellent service, a lively atmosphere, and a warm sense of camaraderie among patrons. I felt truly comfortable and welcome from the moment I stepped through the door, and I can't wait to return for another memorable evening among the locals and fellow travelers. ❤️More
We thoroughly enjoyed a quick lunch at Los Gatos today. Buba, our waiter, was great fun and took excellent care of all of us at the table seated for 7! We all highly recommend stopping in here and we look forward to a return visit...soon when we can stay longer, eat more, and maybe even explore the inside seating. It seems to be quintessentially Spain!More
Very, very disappointed. We went here yesterday for a drink after a meeting. We specifically asked for 3 cañas. We were very explicit about this. The barman poured our drinks and we were puzzled about the size of the glass. when we questioned the barman,...another waiter told us he had given us dobles when we explicitly asked for a caña - half the size of a doble. When we were given the bill it came to €8.25 or €2.75 for each glass of beer. This is far, far more than most other bars in the area charge. This is the second time they have done this to us and, to be honest, we feel a bit cheated. We won't be back. A pity. We live close to this bar and we have always enjoyed its atmosphere though some of the waiters can be rather off hand if not rude.More
We were charmingly bullied into ordering too much food. When we suggested that we had had enough the waited became aggressive and threatening. Will never go again.
The old gentleman who pulled us in and recommend us the food was a pro. Amazing and authentic place in the middle of Malaga centre. Bottle of Rose for peanuts(14euro)… platter of magnificently cooked dramatic looking T bone steak, prawns and octopus. Homemade pickles and...prosecco on the house. What more can you wish for. All in all bill was 90 euros with service included. Also to point out chips is homemade... Brilliant placeMore
Warm atmosphere and spanish typical restaurant in the ❤️ of Málaga! So delicious 😋 food. A MUST STOP to enjoy typical dishes.
Great food and atmosphere 👌 we have ordered tapas mix of food and fish and they have brought huge plate for share, it was super delicious 😋
We discovered this gem on our second day in Malaga. Bubba (Alvaro) is just the best waiter in Malaga and his recommendations were always spot on. You have to ask for him when you go visit and you will not be disappointed. The best service...and the best food.More
Wonderful restaurant. Cosy and nice located. The owners is so nice and generous, and you really have to try the grilled tuna! Best one i ever had
Tasty food and lots of it. Amongst other things, we ordered a racione of roast pork (ham) and were given a huge platter of it. I ordered pork cooked in Pedro Ximenez just for me. Delicious! It came with fries and I ordered a side...of tomato salad. I think there must have been at least 500g. We ate at Los Gatos the following night and they remembered us and gave us free gin and tonic after our meal. Definitely worth a visit.More
