If you want a great tapas experience, look no further. Relaxing environment and great food. The price is relatively cheap and the food delicious.

Stopped in for a glass of wine and light bite and the food was not disappointing. However, the service was uneven and weird: I had to wait for 15 minutes before the waitress who was speaking with the guests sitting next to me to finish...her conversation and take my order and then she acted like it was an imposition. I waited another 10 minutes for water and a glass of wine. The place was NOT busy or filled as I was there early in the afternoon. Once the food came, the chill of the waitress had warmed and now she was smiling and happy to serve me. It is a cute little place and I love that when you request the check they write it on the wall with chalk. There are cool old posters of movies on the walls and the music added a great vibe. the shishito peppers were delish as was the pork.More

La Tranca on C.Carretería is without doubt one of the best Vermut bar's we went to on a three day holiday in Málaga. This brilliant bar has a superb interior with many interesting fixtures and features and superb decor throughout the bars interior and superb...seating options. This brilliant tapas bar was extremely busy when we visited here and it took us a while to get served but it was well worth the wait as we had a superb Vermut each that were superb and really well priced. This was the best tapas bar we visited and the most traditional and is well worth a visit if your in this area of Málaga and is simple to find from Álamos bus stop it's a minute's walk away. (This is my first review of La Teanca). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-12.00-01.00. Friday-Saturday-12.00-02.00. Sunday-12.00-01.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Álamos bus stopMore

We visited for lunch and enjoyed it so much, visited a couple of days later for our evening food. Atmosphere is lively and what you would expect from a typical Spanish tapas bar. Think we were the only English in there but staff spoke some...English and was easy to order. Service very good and never left waiting for a drink or tapas. It gets busy and you need to be prepared to wait a little for a seat. Very good value and a must visit whilst in Malaga.More

You really do need to go here for a meal if you're in Malaga - you may have to wait for a table/seat but it's 100% worth doing so. The food was really tasty, cheap, and with generous portion sizes. The staff were incredible -...friendly, helpful, cheerful and happily explained what dishes were gluten free. It can get a bit cramped and a bit busy but that's just a sign of how good this place is.More

We arrived on a very wet evening and got the last seats, at a barrel table near the entrance. Atmosphere was amazing and given how crowded the place was, we didn’t have great expectations for either service or food but both were spot on and...were good value. La Tranca is a bit off the tourist trail but is worth seeking out, even if you need to wait for a seat.More

Great bar with good variety of tapas. The place was packed all time so a lot of atmosphere , noise. Food was decent enough but the experience is the key thing. Be prepared for no tables, you eat at the bar or the counter across...from it. You shout or point your order and the server brings it over. At the end the bill is totted up with chalk on the counter. If you like a place with energy, this is the spotMore
