We had our first grilled sardines of El Palo here and they were great. Good all ground and the staff were nice.

I stoped here while walking along the water front. The barker was nice enough, and thought that I would try something out. I had some mixed seafood that was relativity inexpensive and looked appetizing at an another table. Unfortunately, some of the seafood was not fresh -- enough so, that I did not eat anymore. Maybe if you stick with... More

poor food, poor service. This is just a beach bar but others serve better food for a similar price. There were plenty of staff and not so many customers so it was difficult to understand the lack of service. I tried twice to order another beer but it never arrived. When we paid the bill, I had to ask three... More

Brought a group of teenage American students here and it was a big hit. The fish was fresh, delicious, and really cheap. Drinks, bread, and tons of grilled, fried, and stewed fish and seafood (paella de marisco too) cost us just 86 euro for 7 people. Great deal and nice atmosphere right on the beach. Generous portions. My fritura variada... More

On the beach very Spanish and vibe place . Great service and fantastic atmosphere . The food is the traditional the grilled fresh fish on stick and salads and beer . They will bring to your table the fresh fish and you can chose which one you will want to be grilled for you. It takes about 20-30 min but... More

The staff is very friendly and speaks English. We had nice fresh sea food. We came out of season, but anyway it is a very cosy place not far from the busy center of Malaga. We had a view over the blue sea.

Its almost 6 years that I started to go frequenly to this place. And always really good. Its easy to sum up, is a safe bet. Dishes of fried fish between 5 to 6 euros. Espetos around 2e. And drinks around 1,5e. Generous portions in general. No problem about time, you can go for lunch at 13 or 17 is... More

Great place for a drink right on the beach. Sardine skewers only 2 Euro charcoal grilled to order. Full of locals all afternoon til sunset.

We went there because of pretty good reviews in tripadvisor. But turned out to be our worst meal in the 5 days around. Setting is ok, on the beach, but food and service are pretty bad. Sardines were ok, but the grilled squid was overcooked at the outside and not cooked inside. Would not really recommend it...

Based in peaceful eastern neighborhood of Malaga, El Zagal is one of the bests restaurants that stands on the beach, facing the mediterranean see. You'lll enjoy grilled fish, calamari, seafood salads, beer, a tinto de verano (kinda wine, fresh and red, excellent after a long day strolling along the beach!). Nice place, clean.
