Situated in a little silent street, the restaurant is notable for its hospitable atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. We liked it a lot. Thank you for your job, guys!

Fantastic. Very authentic if a little cramped inside. Well, if it's good it's bound to be full. We visited twice and we're stunned twice by the quality. I had Rosada (cod) a la plancha and chipirones (baby squids) frito. With a tomato salad. Very simple, beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. Very friendly local staff. They seem to serve only wines... More

Our little girl was asleep in her buggy so wanted a quiet street to stop for tapas and this was perfect. The waiter was great and our food was served quickly. We had the prawns in hot garlic oil, the fried rock cod and the fish croquettes with 2 glasses of red and it was a perfect afternoon stop.

Looking for somewhere to have a sherry and walking past noticed the barrels behind the bar. Decent selection of local wines all poured from the barrel. Good size glassfuls and at 2 euros each very good value. The food looked good but we had already eaten

Whilst wandering around Malaga on the 14th December we spotted this restaurant which was advertising a large variety of tapas of varying sizes. As this is just up our street, we settled down outside for a leisurely lunch. A VERY excellent red wine (ribera crianza) was 3 euros per copa and a cana of beer was 1.50E. We chose 3... More

In one of many quaint streets of Malaga I found this little bodega and was happy I did. Not fancy but really delicious tapas in the middle of the old city - you really enjoy the history and architecture and the food. The restaurant was founded in 1880. That alone speaks of the value you get here

Beer good. Wine good. Shellfish great. A bit slow however. Although does it really matter? Razorclams are amazing. Sweet. Fresh. Garlicy. The vista is great too. Do yourselves a favour and learn a little Spanish too. It goes a long way.

Nothing fancy here - just good food served quickly in a bar environment. Bodegas Quitapenas is the major wine producer of the Malaga region, producing table wine and fortified wine in large quantities for largely domestic consumption in Andalucia. Their finos and PX dulce wines compete head to head with sherries from Jerez and wines from Montilla, but you would... More
