Called in here for a drink after eating elsewhere. We asked for HOUSE wine and had a couple of glasses each. When the bill arrived, we were being charged €7 per glass. Far, far too high, particularly for a wine that definitely tasted basic 'house'...standard. When we challenged the bill they immediately took it away and changed it to €4.50 per glass. Still too high in our view. This sharp practice left a nasty taste in our mouth... or was that the average wine? We will not return and strongly advise others to think twice. It left a 'sour taste' over what was otherwise a wonderful break in a wonderful city.More

Without compromise this is the best Tapas restaurant in this area. We have been visiting this place for many years and the consistent quality is amazing. There is not a better way to sit and spend a few hours of your life in here sampling...the delights - and why not wash it down with a bottle of Alion Perfect evening again guys thank youMore

We’ve been to 2 others of the quartet of Cervantes restaurants just off Alamos but this was our first visit to the Tapeo. We’ll come again! A great place for tapas, with fast friendly service and it’s just oozing with Andalucian character. Between us we...had pulpo (squid on smoky mashed potatoes) one of my favourites Porra Antequerana, a goats cheese and artichoke quiche and a full racion of mushrooms, artichokes and asparagus. All delicious, attractively presented, and appearing as they were cooked. We couldn’t get a table outside - they were all booked well ahead - but sat a table just inside the open door out so we had the best of both worlds. Just under 50 euros for the two of us including several glasses of excellent Rioja - good value for one of the most popular places in Malaga. Spread the word!More

4 Cervantes restaurants owned by same person but he is working in this one. Definitely not my favorite ! Tiny portion , service in chaos.. If you want to have full experience go to Cervantes Maison that is just 50 m from this one!

We visited Tapeo yesterday and we were delighted with what we found. We have been coming here for more than 10 years and the food is simply outstanding. Due to COVID the menu has been only slightly reduced but there are still many delicious dishes...to choose from. Gabriel ( the owner) explained they were planning to reintroduce the full menu shortly. It is a real pleasure to come here every time and we will be back again in the near future. We chose some dishes and decided to choose some more, the waiter asked if we would leave it to him to choose for us, we did and they were fabulous. The whole team is clearly passionate about what they do. This restaurant is one not to miss. Well done to the whole teamMore

This restaurant is a scam. We booked a table on their website, after looking at the menu online. When we came they had changed the menu into a smaller and WAY more expensive menu. This was quite annoying. We received our food. The Jamon was...okay, but we got the Argentinian steak, which came cold and without flavour. In total a very disappointing experience with arrogant waiters and boring expensive food.More

If there is a better place I don’t know where! This is the best food you can get without a few Michelin stars on the door!! Absolutely incredible food for an unbelievable price. And just to add to the amazing place is the fabulous wine...choice !! We are lucky enough to call several two star chefs our friends - but rest assured they would be as much impressed as we are. Dear lord this is as good as it gets with food. Well done Gabriel to you and toe team for yet another fantastic food memoryMore

This is very casual tapas restaurant. Order a number of plates to share. The food was good and the server was very charming. Just check the price on the wine before you order because the prices can go from here to there.High-top wooden tables and chairs....Sit outside for the breeze as it can get a little warm inside. We would return because the food was good and the server was good.More

Lovely spot on the street , excellent salad and great tapas .Good wines too but expensive. Unfortunately when the bill came we had been charged double on two items . Lovely staff apologetic but we’ll never know whether a genuine mistake or not . Rather...soured our evening .More

Stopped by for some tapas and a drink shortly after they opened for lunch. Grabbed a table outside in the pleasant weather. Our waiter was courteous and spoke English. Tapas were delectable. Tinto de Verano was OK. Recommended, but beware it's not cheap; I thought...hard about eating here due to the expensive prices of the tapas relative to other restaurants, but I wanted to try this place at least once.More

We had 6-7 plates + lots of wine. 50E per person. Prices are reasonable. You can eat for 20E per person .... we weren't reasonable because it was so good.
