La Mensula was a short walk from our apartment, we try it and got hooked. The service is the best part of the experience. They treat you like if you are part of the family and the food is as good as the service. Great local food.

Great local restaurant, very reasonably priced. Super service from friendly staff. Serves traditional percebes, which is a bit pricey, but worth trying.

Traditional Spanish restaurant, bright, empty and I now know why !!!!! Food , pate excellent, monkfish soup excellent, revuelta awful, monkfish gloopy and incredibly salty, rabo de toro okay but chips!!!!! Incredibly salty. Anniversary dinner probably the worst in 33 years. Recommended by the hotel, why!!!!!!! Avoid.

If you want to lunch or dine in a wonderfully traditional good Spanish restaurant among malagueños, this is the place. In the centro historico, very close to the Alameda but in a quiet street.

Located between the beach and the bullring. It seemed to be mainly locals which is always a good sign We ate in the back restaurant and the food, wine and service were all excellent. Slightly more expensive than restaurant's in the main tourist area but well worth it. Some nice touches like a free cheese board after dinner as we... More

We loved La Mensula! This is a "local" bar and restaurant, not a glitzy tourist place, just friendly and helpful service and good food and wine. We ate here twice, first the night we arrived (from 26 hours traveling from western U.S.) When we told the waiter it was our first meal in Spain, he said that he could prepare... More

We ate here twice during our 3 day trip as we liked it so much. The wine was delicious and cheap and the Iberic ham/manchego cheese platter was outstanding.

We had a great meal, one of the best we have had in Spain. The service was great, and there was a brilliant vibrant atmosphere. It's not a 'posh posh' restaurant, but not shorts and t shirts either. The waiter was very attentive and welcoming, but not overbearing. The steak was perfectly cooked and had been left to stand, and... More
