We went there twice, a nice dinner at the sit down restaurant ( white cloth) and the next day for tapas at the tapas section. Both experiences were great, as everything we tried was good, and the staff was knowledgeable and honest. Every single dish was...delicious.More
I would recommend this restaurant for a nice venue an excellent and different menu sea urchins oysters and all at a good price having to book or call in advance was a bit of a bother as the place appeared not too busy when we...got there.More
We where totally ignored during the whole meal. I am not sure if it because we don’t speak Spanish, but in any case that should not matter. The wine we had was divine, but the tuna was a little to over done. We will not...choose this restaurant the next time we are in Cádiz.More

Unfortunately, our experience was negative. It probably was high quality in the old days, but now it is a commercial place with more focus on budget than fresh ingredients and appreciated service level. The tuna didn’t smell fresh and had a fishy odor, it was...probably older. Furthermore, the pasta for the kids was no more than spaghetti with tomato frito (supermarket passata) from a 0,29 euro supermarket can... disappointment. New dishes came before finishing the previous ones and we had too many finished plates contaminating our table. Not worth it the Michelin forks on the wall.More

We eagerly awaited your comment. We remember the night you came to dinner and how you returned the plate of tuna with pepper. Tuna tastes like tuna. The tuna was very fresh. The tuna was tried by the kitchen team including myself and...More
Well!! Recommended but from the moment we arrived service surly and entitled, officious and snooty! But I still thought ok, open my mind . Everything we had was, less than mediocre.we had the grumpiest man, slamming plates down , ignoring us, not an ounce of...charm or finesse. Starter, simple grilled prawns , fine , but nothing to go wrong! Salt bake seabass, did not realise that meant salty all the way thru. Turned up with no veg and half cooked potatoes. Sent back, and our veg arrived , BUT only after requesting where it was. It came, but Al dente /not nearly cooked seemed to be the way. We were not alone, table next to us also complained and we were all terrified of our waiter.
In a nutshell they seem to be relying on their history, but get modernised and change ur surly waiters ASAPMore
The service was unfriendly and surly, so we thought the food would be amazing. Sadly the food was not good at all. Our salt baked sea bass was like crunching neat salt and our vegetables (what there was of them) were practically raw. It felt...like a restaurant that had once been good, but had now lost its way. I would not recommend it unless they revamp their attitude.More
This is a lovely Place to eat Lunch or Dinner or even a few tapas at the bar,
5 Star service and Food 5 Star Quality, Taste and Presentation,
El Faro both of them are amazing foods and i would tell people always save a...little extra as going to one of them is an experience not to be missed,More
We were a group of 10, and we all loved El Faro. Fantastic food, (the shrimp fritters are out of this world), and perfect professional service. Yes- the dining room is a bit old fashioned, but it didn’t bother me at all. It is very...clean and comfortable, and what is most important to me is the exceptional food and fantastic hospitality. I’m not in often in Cádiz, but I will definitely go back to El Faro the next time I’m in town.More
