About
El Faro de Cadiz is located in the traditional neighborhood of "La Viña", where Gonzalo Cordoba started with a small bar decorated as a sailor tavern, with nets and fishing stuff, with few wooden benches and tables. The customers came in search of the famous fried fish, called "pescaito frito" daily carried by fishermen of "caleta" beach. His daily concern and desire to excel led him to transform the local expanding and providing modern facilities. Now retired, his spirit of service and commitment to others is part of our principle to keep shining gastronomically Cadiz and we are proud to continue this work. El Faro Cadiz is still committed to the tradition to move forward and offer the best

Excellent food and a great selection of wine. Got a perfect service even arriving very late afternoon- can recommend this place. Very busy - most likely one need to book a table in advance.

We did not go to the restaurant but to the tapas bar next door. It is small and there is no seating so beware if you have been walking all day and want to sit down. But the food was good - the tortillita de...More

We had reserved in advance, but when we arrived there was no one to greet us. So we had to look for a waiter ourselves to ask for our table. This server did not greet us, did not accept our coats and only showed us...More

Going to El Faro is a trip to one of the most prestigious restaurants in Cadiz. Great and polite service, wonderful, tasty food, elegant environment. Prices are not high. Unique experience!

They have a good options of fishes. Many of them fried, I am not a big fan of fry fish. Croquetas were the best!

I think they must have changed hands recently, as the food we had was dreadfully dull and lacking in any effort. The waiter we had was gruff and seemed to have an attitude, I think it was an anti-American thing (in all honesty, the rest...More
