The Heladeria El Limonero is very wheelchair accessible heladeria with tables inside and outside.
It's on a pretty garden square which was alive with people when we went at about 9.30/10pm, so there was a good atmosphere.
I had two flavours - stracciacella with white and blond chocolate, and chocolate blond con nuez pecana, with a small blob of chocolate to fix the spoon in! They were all gorgeous! I'd say these were the best ice creams I tried in the course of our week long trip to Jerez [we only went to Cadiz for one evening].
My ice cream strategy is to have the smallest sized tub with two flavours it really is ample ice cream especially as it’s quite rich.
I've attached a photo of the ice creams on offer when we went.

Great selection of flavors, with some very original ones like lemon with basil or pear sorbet. The ice cream shop is a lovely place located on a heavenly square/garden. My favorite place in all of Cadiz. Thanks for the memories.

You can tell that this is well made ice cream: first of all, you don't see the mountains of crazy-coloured flavours in the shop, the ice cream is in freezers, where it should be (if it's genuine ice cream). The El Limonero ice cream shop is a big disappointment. Despite having ice cream that could be good, hygiene is terrible. There are two dogs that roam freely near ice cream, which is worrying and unhygienic. These animals are too close to food, raising serious questions about cleanliness and safety. Seeing dog hairs near the service area was unpleasant and made me lose my appetite. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness and food safety. This was genuinely the best ice cream I had ever had. We went for two scoops each - ginger and chocolate mousse for me, while my wife had pistachio and dulce de leche.
The flavours were very natural, and pleasingly subtle. The texture was sensational - so thick, creamy and decadent. Almost chewy like the best gelato should be.
All in a beautiful setting in the square with dappled sunlight and the chattering of parakeets.
What a wonderful 20 minutes or so of our trip. ❤️

There are several very good ice cream shops in Cadiz, but I was unaware of this "El limonero", located in Plaza Candelaria.

Definitely the best ice cream shop in the region! Several lactose-free options, natural and all made right there. The atmosphere is super nice, spacious and the coffee is delicious. The hosts are very friendly and kind, you will love to visit and spend an afternoon.

Top-rated ice cream I've ever eaten! If you are a cheese lover, I recommend any of the cheese ice cream that they have in their display cases. Special mention of pistachio ice cream, amazing. I am used to traveling and I have tried many ice cream parlors in Europe and much further away...but El Limenero is the Top!! The best experience with ice cream that I have ever had: excellent and abundant flavors (also with regular changes and new features: oh!! the avocado one!), quality of the products, wonderful surroundings, more than pleasant service with two girls with whom to also I was able to exchange in French (merci beaucoup mesdames pour votre service irreprochable! ): the best of the best! Visited this gelateria several times and the flavours are absolutely wonderful. I even tried goat's cheese flavour and it was brilliant. Lovely decor and everything very reasonably priced. Located in a beautiful plaza, perfect place to enjoy your ice cream.

Happened to wander past on our way from station to hotel. So very pleased we made the effort to go back. We had 6 flavours [or flavors!] between 2 of us. Each was a winner. The whole experience was just lovely- including meeting the charming gentleman behind the counter. Just sorry didn't get there sooner in our week in Cadiz
