With hindsight I should not have booked this very expensive restaurant.
Had I checked the menu first I would have realised that the unusual combinations (fusions in the popular parlance) were high risk, and only a few of them worked.

Had a very original and lovely 6-course meal at the restaurant alone on a Sunday evening. Exquisite food, great service and lovely surroundings. Definitely affordable - bang for the buck. Highly recommendable. :)
Stayed at the Hospes and dined in Arbequina. We had the tremendously good value Noches de Bailio which wasdelightful. The staff made us feel as if we were the owners of the Palacio and guided us through some exquisite local wines and olive oil.
