Reading through an old "Lonely Planet" (ed. 2013), we saw that Casa Mazal was their top recommended restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. Intimately tucked into some of Cordoba's windy side-streets, the restaurant is a real "keeper". Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, patiently and helpfully suggesting dishes that would suit both adults and kids. In the end, we tried... More

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Showed up a little before it opened and chatted with the chef who showed us to a table. We had drinks (great sangria). I had a curry chicken dish which was interesting (had pineapple and pomegranate) and my friend had a vegetarian couscous. Both good dishes. Ambience was nice. Music was excellent and added to... This restaurant is tucked neatly off one of the small medieval streets. The atmosphere was slightly formal, but they were very welcoming of the children. None of us had any history of Sephardic cuisine, so I ordered a number of different things on the menu, in case the children didn't like a particular dish. Well, they loved both the chicken... More

We chose this restaurant for sentimental reasons - a Sephardic restaurant in the old Jewish area of Córdoba. What's not to like? Overall - disappointing. On the positives - a lovely old building which was very atmospheric. A nice touch with a talented young musician playing the cello. The staff were also friendly. And the rose wine was nice. On... Dear David I´m sorry that your stay with us was not satisfactory. We follow a clean system in the different parts of our restaurant. The wet floor usually becomes dry in a few minutes because the hot weather. About the meal,we usually too offer "gazpacho" but the offer depends on the freshness of our ingredients, and if we consider that they... More

This restaurant is tucked away in the Jewish quarter. The food itself is just ok-the tomato w/black peppercorn was unimpressive but I liked the spiciness of the chicken with couscous. Nonetheless I recommend going because of the free Spanish guitar concert. Nothing says "we're in Andalusia!" Like Spanish guitar. Made the meal for me

My wife and I enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Casa Mazel. The Hummus proved more than we could eat and our entrees of Spicy Chicken with Couscous and Lamb Ribs possessed enormous taste. Our best meal thus far in Spain. Of course, the outstanding violin and cello duet which played during the evening helped the already enjoyable atmosphere. We would... More

We loved everything about this Sefardic restaurant and ended up going three times. The courtyard setting is lovely - shaded during in the day by a fabric cover, that's rolled back at night so the place is cooler and more open. The courtyard is quite small - about 6 tables, but there is also seating in an upstairs balcony and... More

Although the food was perhaps not quite as good as the other two restaurants visited on our trip, we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this restaurant. Service was excellent, efficient & friendly. The courtyard was very attractive and the two musicians playing violin & cello made the evening. Very good value. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

In the old town but not on the main touristic footpath, this is a true hidden gem. Great atmosphere, creative and delicious cooking and most charming service. Refreshing different from all the other, dozends of exchangable touristic places.

Very friendly place in the Jewish quarter. The food was delicious, with Sephardi spicing and served with a smile. Live light classical and pop music by a violinist and cellist added to our enjoyment. Highly recommended.
