Came for the famous slice of Tortilla. Are it at the bar, but some did take it to go. Was one of the best I've had. Warm and the right amount of salt. A lot of potato in it, so it wouldn't probably hold up for you to eat later.

The tortilla is good, however not the best I ever tried... It's a very touristic spot, many people eating in front of the place, seating on the stones of the Mezquita.

The staff at my hostel "recommended" this place (i.e., were probably friends with the owner) and claimed it was famous for its tortillas and the local speciality of Salmorejo. They took a big group of us there, recommending that we try both. I did; the tortilla was the worst I've had in Spain (lukewarm, very little flavour, too much potato,... More

Why is this bar renowned for it's potato tortillas? We found them bland and tasteless and for some reason totally without any seasoning - have they never heard of salt and pepper. Having said that it's fair to say that this small bar was full with locals whom all seemed OK with what they were eating and drinking and were... More

For a tasty little lunch this is an interesting option. It is a small traditional taberna at the corner of the cathedral. Can accommodate about ten or so people standing at the bar. Everyone else takes their food outside and sits on the wall. Ate the tortilla, boquerones and a cana for €6.

Very small typical Spanish tapas bar - no seating. Tapas were pretty good -famous for their "tortillas". However, €2 for a slice & €1.50 for a small beer, you can get cheaper elsewhere.

It is right next to Mezquita and people was in a long queue for tortilla. I tired one but it tasted just OK, nothing special. Instead you can enjoy drinks just outside of the bar and sit next to Mezquita for a break. Queue was long but it went smooth.

We continued our tour of local specialities at another recommended bar. From a food angle it was spot-on. From a personality angle, the guy must have been at the end of a long shift in this tiny place. There are two seats downstairs if you're lucky, and the upstairs of was roped-off, so we assumed that, out of season, it's... More

So, you would feel suspicious in eating right at the Mezquita, but this tortilla is worth the deal. You must try it. I regret I only had one piece!
