A party of four, we chose this restaurant because of the vegan choices.
The welcome was friendly and we were immediately served.
First came papadam with condiments, which is good practice but unfortunately not a given.
3 appetizers: Gobi Pakora (cauliflower), Mushroom Pakora and Onion Bhaji. All medium crispy and very tasty. We can recommend them all. (see picture)
Plus a delicious Kashmiri Shorba (Tomato and Bean soup).
4 main dishes: Daal Broccoli, Daal Palak, Aloo Baingain (roasted eggplant) and Aloo Mango Curry. We loved the food and scraped out all the bowls. (see picture)
For my taste, the mango curry was a bit too sweet, but was not my order. Everyone especially found the Aloo Baingain to be particularly tasty. We asked the waiter how this is made. Unfortunately, he kept the secret.
As it was one of the first days after the Corona shutdown, we all got a Ramazotti (ice & lemon) as an after dinner drink.
All prices very reasonable and the vegan main dishes a bargain, €6,90 to €8.
At the end we paid merely €66 for us 4 including drinks.
We are regulars in Weimar and will 100% be back. Full recommendation!

On the corner of the castle with a delightful terrace this little gem serves delicious Indian cuisine in an atmosphere relaxing for couples and families alike. We come again and again für the spinach and lsmb curries served with hot fresh Indian bread and rice. My children love the mango lassi yoghurt drinks and the owner and staff couldn’t be nicer or more attentive.

Had a takeaway from here and was amazing, however eating here in person is even better. Gorgeous outdoor seating area with heaters and lovely decoration, food is absolutely faultless with very generous portions. But the star of the show is the service. Avinderbir and Rahul went above and beyond the whole evening and were so funny and friendly cracking jokes and getting to know us. Their infectiously fun and charming personalities rounded off the night perfectly and we’ve vowed to come here every 2 weeks during our studies here as it’s just so good! Can’t recommend enough ❤️definitely pay this place a visit when in Weimar

Disappointing First Visit
This was my first visit based on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, the experience fell short on both taste and service. We waited over an hour for our food, despite being only four patrons and ordering just four dishes and lassi. The lassi itself arrived after 20 minutes. When we inquired about the delay, the waiters offered no sincere apologies.
To make matters worse, a waitress made a discriminatory remark, implying they prioritized German patrons over our group because we were Indian. Finally, the food itself was a letdown. It seemed like they prepared the dishes with whatever ingredients were readily available, compromising the taste. Overall, this was a forgettable experience, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

If you like Indian Cousine but don't like the strong spices, this is the right place for you. We had butter chicken and mango chicken and it was very nice. Refil is also available at no extra costs. Also a good walking distance Form GoetheSchiller Square in the city center.

Great Food Excelent with Kids! we arrived after a late drive from france looking for a good place to eat. If you find yourself in Weimar, Germany, don't miss the chance to dine at INDIAN, a hidden gem perfect for families. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is a flavorful delight, with tender chicken pieces in a rich, spiced tomato sauce that perfectly balances heat and creaminess. Equally impressive is their Chicken Korma wich was a favour between the kids, offering a milder yet equally satisfying experience with its creamy, aromatic sauce and succulent chicken. The restaurant is cleanand has a welcoming atmosphere and an excellent selection of drinks for borh kids and Adults, making it a top choice for a memorable meal. Definitely a must-visit!

Had a takeaway from here, one of the nicest I’ve ever had! Absolutely gorgeous food and massive portions for great value! The chicken tikka is some of the most flavourful and juicy I’ve ever had and samosas are lovely. Highly recommend!

After a long time I tasted the good food and people there was Soo nice and the way they serve the food was awesome it feels like we are in India I personally recommend people to try the traditional indian dishes.

The food was good. The service as well, staff is very friendly and attentive. We only did not like the small separate area of the restaurant where we were sit despite the second floor is much nicer and was not occupied.
