Internet claims this is the oldest building in Weimar. Was an Inn. Doesn't look that old on the inside but I'm sure has had much upgrading in 400 years! Food is quite good and service also good. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Nice traditional restaurant located in the Marktplatz. They offer local food and very good beer. The service was excellent.

This is one of the best restaurant in Weimer. Traditional german food, and good service. Beer is also very good.

In a prime location, next door to the famous Elephant Hotel, this restaurant promises more than it delivers. The so-called Krustenbraten sounded like roast pork with crackling, but turned out to be a shapeless chunk of salty gammon with fatty bits that proved inedible. Service was ok, the waitress was just a bit off-putting with her piercings and tattoos, and... More

Super location in the Centre of Weimar, with a long history. Local dishes are recommended. With good weather: sit outside

We came here with 7 people for lunch because we liked the look of it and because of the central location. The menu offers a range of typical German and regional specialities. I chose the Thuringian dumplings with wild pig roast. What I got was very dry, tough and tasteless meat and dubious side dishes. The best thing on the... More

This restaurant is in an old inn on the main square of Weimar, and on a drizzly weekday night was packed, mainly with locals. Staff were friendly and accommodating, even though we turned up without a reservation; the atmosphere, to use a German term, is 'gemutlich', and the food is 'gutburgerliche Kuche' (for those who know German). Good food in... More

The restaurant is in the city center on a small Square. The food was excellent and the service very friendly and professional. The decor gave the place a nice and cosy atmosphere.

We had been recommended a restaurant which was full so fell into this Braueri and were very relieved to find a table. The service was efficient and the food was good.
