Great Thuringian food, properly priced. The restaurant is situated in the loveliest part of Erfurt. Service was very friendly. There is charming atmosphere of an old family house. Take anything except fish. It is more of a meat place. Fish was OK but nothing spectacular. Ask servers for their recommendations.

Great restaurant serving typical German Fare. The service is excellent and we were well looked after by our hostess. Make sure to taste the local brew and if going here, ordering the Dumplings with your food is HIGHLY recommended. Probably the best dumplings I have ever had!

Great place for lunch. Very easy and tasty local beer - the cheapest Riebeck. One dish is enough to eat and have fun. Wonderful Thuringian cuisine.

Just had dinner here. It was wonderful. Started with the pumpkin soup which was delicious. There was just a very little spice in it that was excellent. Then had the bratwurst and pork dish which was also excellent. Very large serving. This could easily be two meals for me with the mashed potatoes and sauerkraut (which doesn't taste like normal... My German-born wife and I just spent two days in the city of Erfurt and loved it! And this was our favorite restaurant. It's a typical German restaurant in an old building, has high ceilings and a nice airy feeling. Both the food and the service were outstanding!

This is a small local restaurant adjacent to the old synagoue. It has a small courtyard out the back, which is better than eating on the street. Dishes tasted good, creative loal dishes which appeared to be freshly made Can recommend this restaurant

Service was good. Staff friendly. Food OK, but by no means "wow". Strawberry vinagrette on salad was however a nice touch.

I've been to Feuerkugel two nights in a row night, sampling the Thüringer Spezialitäten, the Schweinebraten, the "black-beer beef", and another pork dish whose name escapes me, but it's pork neck with amazing herbed green beans. There was nothing I would improve on. Two different wines, a dry Riesling and a Müller-Thurgau were one better than the other. Pleasant, bilingual... More

I regularly go there with business partner's from different countries. It's a great place to show them the traditional fresh regional food. The stuff is very friendly and the prices are very good.

Feuerkugel was in the touristy area but was quite empty early evening. There was a portrait of Kaiser Bill on the wall. We had the Schweinespiesse with dessert and liqueurs and it was all pretty good.
