Can't say enough about the service and food at kochwerk. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Best restaurant in a holiday inn that I know of. Breakfast here in the morning is also substantial. Great location too. Stay here, eat here, explore luebeck from here. Top notch.

The food was good, but the serving was very slow. Kids menu arrived too late - with the main course. Very long wait between first and second course.

A restaurant in a chain hotel that's actually good? Yes! My husband and I were very impressed with Kochwerk. The plaice (fish) was very good and they didn't tart it up with yukky sauces and such - it was just good, perfectly cooked fish. The shrimp skewer appetizer accompanied by a little salad is perfect for a light dinner and... More

We had enough driving for the day, so we dined in the hotel. Great bread dip consisting of cherry-almond vinegar and olive oil. Quite good chicken Caesar salad, but the fish was drowned in butter.

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner here the first night. Very nice steak tatar and chevre chaud, also good pasta dishes and burgers. unfortunately both Snickers and popcorn ice cream was sold out, but we had a good creme brule and rasberry ice instead, we waited a bit long due to big groups being served in the next... At this eatery you should not expect anything extraordinary or delicious, but you will certainly not have to leave hungry. However, the service is extremely slow, so you need to be patient. The currywurst the serve is indeed worth a try.

Ate here while staying at the Holiday Inn and thought it was good. Admittedly, we all ate of the 'snackier' end of the menu (currywurst, flammkuchen, etc) but it was all very nice. Enjoyed the oil and vinegar 'bar' too....and waitress gave us a second basket of bread when asked.

Food was definitely not worth the money, and service was slower than average. a pity, because the hotel, that the restaurant belongs to, is actually quite good. Breakfast was excellent compared to the dinner.
