Visiting this cafe was a very pleasing experience. The place has a strong personality and a homely atmosphere. The cakes were good, as well as the coffee. Finally, the prices are quite reasonable.

Visually 5 Stars. Coffee and pastry, bit disappointing. Coffee is just "McDonald's level" and pastry extremely sweet for our taste

This cafe had a wonderful selection of cakes, tea and coffee, and also a short menu with hot food. Vegetarian options. The decor is very elegant and turn-of-the-century and it gets very busy at all times (there is an upper floor).

This is the historical cafe with has been know since the end of 19 century. The history dates back to the 17 century, whet Riquet and Co. started to export cacao, tea and spices. Then, the sweets factory was established. The building of the cafe...was built in the beginning of 20 century in "modern" style. The cafe has very traditional interior with wooden panels and vintage furniture, it offers selection of high quality teas, coffee and hot chocolate, small bar, which is typical for the cafe of that type. The selection of cakes and desserts is very large. I took hot chocolate with brandy and cream which was very good. The service was fast, the waitress, beautiful young girl, spoke decent English. I highly recommend this place.More

The exterior of the Cafe has interesting art deco decorations while the interior is warm and welcoming with artistic touches. The food is also good. It can be crowded as it is popular with locals.

Cake variety and many tea options. Old style German style cafe which gets populad through out the day. Tea was ok, coffee could be better and the cake we tried was not that fresh. Have been to better tea/ cake places in other German cities....Also the serving waitress was very rude, and not friendly to families with kids/ babies.More

Enticed by the Art Noveau exterior, we ventured in for breakfast. We were met by a friendly waitress and shown to a clean table and given a menu, we questioned all the different breakfasts listed, and asked why wasn't an English breakfast on the menu?,...she simply pointed to the 'American' listing, with much ensuing friendly banter, including asking if there was an Australian option, which of course there wasn't! - that was a bridge too far! - we opted for the French offering, and wondered if Brexit was involved, who knows! Anyway, breakfast came and everything was good, have tasted better coffee though.More

Cake with hair and indifferent service made this first visit the last. We only cafe for a cup of coffee and dessert in this "classic" spot, but were totally dissappointed. Soon we found the hair in the cake and said it to the waitress that...it was inappropriate. To my surprise she answered: oh, you found it too? which didn't seem to be the first time with that Zupftorte. Of course, they apologised and we did't pay for the cake, but the experience itself and some insect i saw afterwards on the table made me think that I never come there again.More

Beautiful elegant surroundings; however the breakfast is of very low quality, discounter products are being served ( probably ex Aldi or Lidl). And - businesses as usual ... guess what....prices are link to the high expectations and not reality! We will never come back. Feel...completely cheated!!!! Additionally no cards accepted! Euros 20,6 for 2 french breakfast ( cofe, bread, cheese, marmalade),More

We decided to try this place for Breakfast one morning at around 9 a.m. We sat outside and had two to three waitresses look at us from the door and never come to our table. So, we went inside, thinking that we would get waited...on there. The three stayed behind the counter with their backs to us, basically looking over their shoulders, commenting and laughing. We are over the age of 60, quietly going about our day and they obviously didn't want our business. Needless to say, we left. We will never return.More
