pretty crowded, but service was efficient and friendly, I choose a dark self-made beer, self-brewed. Highly recommended.

Friendly restaurant in a beautiful location - next to the Thomaskirche. It was recommended to us by my son's friend. They have an extensive Italian menu but offer some traditional German food which we opted for. Food was really good. Portions gigantic! I was defeated but my menfolk managed. If you want some Leipziger fayre this is a place for... More

Very easy to find next to the main square. No reservation but was shown to a table as we walked in the door. Food is a mix of german and Italian and very good. Beer was also excellent.

I visited this resteraunt 3 times during my stay and found both the atmosphere and the food very good. The service is also great. They have English menus and all the waiters are good English speakers. The menu is extensive with both German and Italian food available. I kept trying the German food and I couldn't fault any of it.

Really enjoyed my dinner here with work colleagues. I had the Filleto de Manzo with a carafe of house red wine which was all delicious. Service was very good too. The theme is Italian but they do seem to specialise in really good quality steaks and cuts of Beef

The place was located very close to my hotel, and therefore I visited it at the end of my city tour to try some German beer. The one that I tried was not bad, and the service was ok, but not too hasty :) I liked the location and the views from the pub, generally. However, considering location, the place... More

Every Church should have its own brewery - the link between religion and beer needs to be celebrated. It was good to have a drink after the Bach museum and better still to have one that was brewed locally, but it wasn't spectacular as a venue.

We hadn’t planned to eat right in the city center at St. Thomas Church because we thought it would be overprized. But when we sat down in the beer garden to have a drink we found the menu quite tempting. The restaurant offers a lot of different meals and we chose a pizza, 2 pasta dishes (combinazione) and a “Riesenschnitzel”.... More

Randomly chose this place during a business trip cause they have nice outside seating in a central location. I took a steak with chanterelles for 24 Euro, quite expensive for German standards. Unfortunately the chanterelles were drowned in a tomato-cream sauce so the taste of the mushrooms was completely eliminated. They could have just as well used ordinary champignons, wouldn't... More

Expect to find lovely traditionally brewed beer at the Brauhaus. Combined with a tratoria, the restaurant offers good German food and some Italian traditional meals. The Ice creams are very good!
