Our group of 12 was easily accommodated by the exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. Several party members returned later in the week for another memorable dining experience. Do order dessert. If the menu choices are not enough, check out the display case inside the restaurant.

It is good to sit on the terrace. The food is delicious, and you can find a number of local dishes on the menu.

most people come to see and be seen - even good for 'just drinks' - food is a bit better than average - service a bit varied too. Got annoyed when being told that tap-water was not being served as they sold mineral-water (did consume ample bottles of wine as well) - restaurant policy ...! Maybe that needs a review... More

At first, we had planned to eat at Spizz but when we were arrived, it was full so we had to find another restaurant and just by few steps we found Zill's Tunnel. Our group has 7 people but I only took picture of 2 dishes. Sorry guys :)) I ordered lamb steak with string bean and bacon, tomato. It... More

A very typical German restaurant on a perfect location in the Barfuss alley. There are many restaurants in the alley and this one was one of the few German ones. We took a glass of very nice local Gose beer. As the main course we went for a typical German disk: Matjes hering with Bratkartoffeln. All very nice!

A pleasant choice for traditional fare; nice to sit outside on a lovely evening. Try the fried cheese dessert....it is really delicious!

I was a bit wary of going to this restaurant, which is bang in the middle of Barfuszgassen, Leipzig's tourist street. But a friend had told me that despite this, the food made it worth going to. The menu looked promising enough, and even though the servers had that trademark impersonal stare that goes with a tourist-trap restaurant, I persevered.... More

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. This was one of highlights of Germany. We shared our meals of the small portion of Spargel with a hollandaise sauce, goulash soup and Tagesgericht (Gnocchi with a wild mushroom sauce). Everything we had was wonderful. The asparagus were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce had a hint of curry which only enhanced the taste. The Goulash... More

I do love this place- it's in the touristy area, but not touristy. The menu reflects the fact you are in Sachsen, plus it has several old Eastern-bloc (read Russian) dishes on it. The Sauerbraten is probably the best thing on the menu, although their version of Schweinsaxe was pretty good, too. It's nice to sit outside on the street,... More

I got the name of this place from hotel and I confirmed with tripadvisor before to go to have dinner. It is a really good place with typical dishes of the region, plus it is in the most crowded street for the nightlife. I got a venison plate but it was not perfect . My collegue gots snitzel and it...
