Only able to access part of the building due to rest being closed off which is a shame as may have purchased more. The products available to buy were limited but what was available was rrasonable priced in part. The inside of the shop is stunning.

Took the tram on a hot day (95F) specifically to the place. Nice enough shop with lots of decorations and cheeses to buy. Went upstairs to restaurant decided on some ice creams. It was hot upstairs. They had ceiling fans but still very warm. Great ice cream flavors. If you’re in the area by all means stop by but not worth a special trip.

Named by the Guinness Book of Records as the most beautiful milk shop in the world. When you walk in, you'll enter the dairy/shop area. You can't miss the stunning design of the handpainted porcelain tiles. We stopped for an afternoon break and had the regional cheese plate with a glass of buttermilk. We enjoyed our walk to from the old part of Dresden (about 45 minutes) along the Elbe riverbank. Unfortunately, the tour buses seem to all stop at Pfund's Dairy so it was periodically insanely full and then empty. Photos are not permitted but this is not enforced and lots of people were taking them.

We went there for a dessert and a coffee. Can we adopt Mr.Vu, please? He was so helpful and friendly! Food was very good, too. And defintely recommend Mozart coffee - one of the best I have ever had!

My travel guide says this is a "must see" in Dresden. No its not! Before going there I saw several You Tube videos calling this the oldest family owned dairy in Dresden and pointing out the beautiful tile decor that is unique. The locals told me its corporate owned and not owned by the same family. They call it a "dairy" so I pictured locals buying butter and bottled milk inside. I even pictured an old milking station in my mind.I was soooo disappointed! It is nothing but an overrated store that sells cheese with a not so good cafe upstairs. Yes the tiles are nice but they don't even offer cheese samples as most cheese markets do. So I had no idea what kind of cheese to ask for. At the cafe I ordered a "cheese sampler" with a small assortment of cheeses soft and hard. The hard cheeses were served with large rinds making them unappetizing. I added a bowl of pea soup which tasted like a mix. Most disappointing of all was the ice cream which I thought would be great in a dairy. It was not creamy- more ICE than Cream. My hot cider with a cinnamon stick was the best part of the meal. The wait staff were great but the price was not: $32.80 Euros and I did not even have a meal. What these folks are good at is marketing because they're on every brochure and even have their own stop on the Hop on Bus which doesn't say much for that institution. If you're passing by stop and take pictures but don't go out of your way to include this on your itinerary.

There’s the milk shop on the first floor, and a cafe on the second. Had a cheese plate at the milk shop. Yummie, but nothing is made in house. The first floor is ornately decorated, nothing to see on the second. It’s also a tour bus stop, so prepared to be rushed at when one of them stops.

There can't be too many "hop on hop off" tours that stop at a milk bar, but this is no ordinary milk bar. The interior is beautifully decorated with gorgeous wall and floor tiles that are quite stunning. Upstairs there is a cafe that serves good coffee and great pastries.

Lovely little restaurant above the beautiful dairy. Unfortunately the service was slow. However the place is beautifully appointed and the food was great.

We were here in the afternoon for some cake and a drink, and weren't disappointed. The cakes we had were absolutely lovely, with plenty of the fruit in each, and a wonderful taste. Service was good, and the cafe is well worth visiting.

My wife & I took lunch there. Ground fl. is a milk and its products shop. Cafe is on the 1st fl. Because of very popular place, sightseeing buses come and stop in fron of the shop. So, the shop is very crowdy, and we had to push through the shoppers to go upstairs. No staff to lead us to the seats, can seat where you like style. Almost no hospitality. But sandwich is good and milk is fresh. Good for light lunch.

This is the oldest milk bar in Dresden, yes Germans even take drinking a glass of cold fresh milk seriously. The tiles on the inside are exquisite. In German it is called Pfunds Molkerei. It is a not close to Aldsratd or Newstradt but it is on the tourist bus route.

A very unique place to visit. The tiles in the walls and on the roof are exquisite and well looked after. Pity that you are not allowed to take photos. We found the prices a bit steep.

Peek in to see it - it's gorgeous. We went upstairs for a bite. What we ate tasted good and we were going to get a dessert but the attitude of the staff made us decide to get dessert elsewhere. We had much higher expectations and were disappointed.

We made the City hop on hop off tour and halted at the Pfunds Mölckerei, a historical Dresden dairy and milk merchandiser's spot that survived the WW2 bombing in the Bautzner Strasse. After visiting we had a quick snack in the cafe restaurant on the top floor. A busy place, professional and friendly staff, serving basic food quality dishes. Not bad for a snack especially when touring the city. Advise: first visit the old house, NO PICTURES to be taken, enjoy the special porcelain wall tiles ( to keep the place clean - do not forget this was a milk / dairy shop ) and have a meal or coffee stop on the top floor. It will give you the energy to go on with your tour

They advertise as the most beautiful dairy in the world. When you walk in, you'll walk in to the dairy/shop area and smell the cheeses. You can't miss the stunning design. You can continue on the first floor in the shop or head upstairs to the cafe/restaurant. We just stopped for an afternoon break. Our waitress was very helpful. We had the Eierschecke and Quarktorte (kind of like cheesecake, but made from Quark). The Quarktorte was my favorite. It was a little drier than cheesecake from the US, but absolutely delicious. We walked from across the river, and then took public transportation back. Easy to get to/from, and well worth a visit!
