Excellent food, good sized portions, cooked the way I liked, inexpensive menu (menu card explains different cuts of steak); pleasant helpful English speaking staff who seemed willing to give a good impression and service; clean and tidy décor. Sat outside on a nice warm evening, attended too promptly.

My wife and I are temporarily living in Germany and we've been to many restaurants and this is by far the worst service we've had here. We first sat down and were passed up by many other couples that sat down far after we arrived. The waitresses are very rude, for example cutting you off mid sentence, ignoring us and... More

Good service. OK food, a bit expensive of what you get. Children's playground in restaurant and kids running around screaming very loud as at Ronald McDonald. We could bearly have a conversation at our table. Not worth the visit.

Good food but not so cheap. Very good steaks and salad. Drinks are expensive. Service could be more friendly

My wife and I took a trip to Germany for the first time. We were part of a tour but we were given "free-time" to explore some of the sites and restaurants on our own. During our stay in Dresden, Germany, we found the Maredo. This was our first time eating alone and we were not familiar with local customs... More

When we went in here we asked if our waitress spoke English and were delighted she did and seemed to be very fluent. She took our orders and all seemed fine. Then the bottle of wine we ordered arrived as a glass. I explained that we wanted the bottle and she apologised and said she understood we'd asked for a... More

Food was nothing special - overcooked meat with gelatinous mushroom sauce. The young man who was our server was very inattentive and seemed like he was in another world. After requesting our check we waited almost 20 minutes for him to bring it to us. Would definitely not return there.

We ate here on a previous night and had excellent service and a tasty meal, and decided to return. Before returning we discovered our Dresden Card, entitled us to 10% discount off our meal. The meal and service was again fine. On payment time the waitress did not know anything about it. She called another, same result. She called yet... More

Okay, the restaurant was busy, but to wait nearly an hour for our food was unacceptable, even by German standards. Having lived in Germany, I know that food is prepared fresh. The orders were taken quickly enough, but the first disappointment was that they'do run out of pimientos de pardon for starters. After over 30 minutes' wait, I asked the... More
