Place looks really nice and cozy. But food and drinks arent that great if you are lucky to get them at all. We got wrong coffee, asked pancakes three times and they tried to charge for cake they never delivered. One could think all this is because of some languge barrier but we had few people in the group speaking... More

This cafe is a great place to spend a long cozy morning. Delicious breakfast choices: Oslo (salmon favourite) or Amsterdam (cheese dream) - you will not leave hungry. For a quick break - a huge choice of cakes.

Pleasant cafe on Dresden's Hauptstrasse - if you've walked across the river from the Altstadt, the Schwartzmarktcafe is in the first nice old surviving building on the right after you've passed a long stretch of prettified old GDR concrete monstrosities. Good fried eggs and coffee. Oddly, given the young, cool crowd, no wifi.

We wished to have a sit down breakfast and visited this cafe in Neustadt. The coffee was very strong, muesli with fruit and yoghurt was superb. The rolled oats were very tasty and filling. The scrambled eggs with tomato and green onion came with excellent rolls. The breakfast for one with caffe sunlit came in a huge coffee bowl. Highly... More

right before Christmas this cafe is open early and offers a big variety of breakfast options. All kinds of bread/rolls, jam, ham, cheese or many egg possibilities. We also liked the 'Bircher Muesli' and the fruits. The small cake we tried was fresh and tasty. The coffee was 'so so', a very average cappuchino, but maybe not their main interest.... More

My wife and I had diner here. Decent food, although no haute cuisine. Service was quick and friendly and the price was even more friendly. Not a place I would go to for a romantic diner, but a good place if you are looking for a decent meal at a fair price.

We returned again and again to this delightful cafe where the decor is pleasant, staff are cheerful and helpful, and the food and coffee excellent. Each day we experimented with new breakfasts and were delighted at the results: the Oslo, for example, with two different types of mild lox, was a big hit and was enough for the two of... More

Like a recent reviewer we came to escape an expensive hotel breakfast. Our waitress brought us a grosses fruhstruck and a scrambled egg breakfast along with a basket contianing a variety of fresh bread, butter, etc. For my breakfast the accompanying salami, mortadella, cheeses, etc, were very nice. Service is quick and pleasant, although the service capability of the solo... More

My wife and I thought we'd skip the expensive breakfast at our hotel and grab one at this corner eatery that seemed quite contemporary in its style. Unfortunately, service was very slow for our no-big-deal order. Food was more ordinary than what we had the day before at a stand in a nearby market that delivered the goods toute suite.... More

I ate a 'Grosses Frühstück', asked to give me scrumbled eggs instead of boiled eggs, was no issues. The breads were very fresh and tasty, so were the hams, salami, the 4 different types of cheeses and the jam. We got our drinks and food incredibely fast. Everything was prepared in front of us as the place has an open... More
